You can use your EXP here. There's not much to get, but that's because those are upgrade!
HP Level: The more this is high, the more you will be able to take hits before escaping and letting the heroes do their quests.
Stamina level: You need to upgrade this or you will become tired during long battles.
Rage mode level: This starts at level 0. Upgrade this and you will have a rage mode, which will activate after the hero hits you multiple times. Rage mode makes your villain more powerful, until he gets tired or he knocks the hero out once. Each upgrade makes the rage mode boost higher.
Elemental point: Lets you put a point in one of the elements, making you more resistant to that element. If you add one element point in an element, you have to remove one in another. So if you choose to have + 1 in fire, you have to have -1 in another element. The element in which you have the most resistance also gives a boost to the attacks of that element.
Status effect point: Same thing as the elemental points, but for status effects.
