30 potential hunters are aligned on the wall between Pryktus and the jungle. Headmaster Valkoinen is standing in front of everyone, ready to talk. There's giant cannons on the wall.
Valkoinen: "Alright everyone. Today is the day. Anyone knows how they do things at Beacon?"
Oceania: "Yeah. Of course. They put you on a platform which automatically catapult you."
Valkoinen: "That's right. They force their student into the initiation. Here at Lighthouse, we let our student launch themselves.
The cannons will drop you into the jungle, full of Grimm. There's 5 pillars with cards on them. Find the pillars and then come back to the wall.
As per customs, first person you make eye contact with will be your partner for the years to come.
If you're too scared to get inside the cannon or press the button inside to launch yourself.
Well, too bad. You don't have what it takes.
My assistant, Zaphiro Summer will make sure you don't die.

Joanne looks to her new friends, Topaz, Carmine, and Platin. "See you guys in the forest." She then winks at them before jumping into the cannon and smacks the button, holding her harpoon ready.
Anubis calmly walks into a cannon and pushes the launch button, holding his axe.

It seems they have to wait for the others to finish before going back to the academy.
