As it's name says, a vast place, filled with sand. Many years ago, before the people who lived here disappeared, this vast place was a shifting ocean of grass, and a fertile farm land.
It feed all of it's inhabitants well, humanoid or not. Now, it feeds nothing but the reaper.

Yarzan awakes to the sound of stone slamming against stone. He finds himself inside a strange tomb. A low shadow skitters off into the darkness, it looks insect like...
The only light is hot and bright, flowing from a hole in the roof. It reveals a glowing alter, an odd message is written on it. "TOUch and Feeel THE LIght!!"

You find it strange that the light shines so brightly in your cave when you awake. Even stranger yet that the floor of your cave is covered in fine sands.
But you open your eyes you are not with a cave but on top of a high sand dune, a strange desert surrounds you.
Grainy bits of sand crunch in your mouth and make your eyes itch. You can just barely make out a strange building in the distance...

Hmm. Troublesome. Well, with a piqued curiosity and heightened hostility, Krox will start moving towards the strange building.

You punch the alter, not bothering to head the words written upon it. It crumbles into a pile of dust. A worm and ancient piece of parchment floats down to rest on top of the dust. It is facing up, so you can read the writing. "The OLD one... she knows!"

You move quickly towards a strange building, a thin gray corpse rests on the wall in the buildings shade. A sickly slithering noise sounds from within the structure, but a small deep red glow shines in the back.

This structure's already uncomfortably odd, but it's still worth examining. We can afford to check out the back.
