The city lays before you. The architecture graceful. It's many lights shine in the twilight of the evening. They seem compliment the dim stars of the clear, darkening sky.
Many people await the full moon and the comets, the centers of tonights celebration.
Of course, it's difficult to make out the other details, as everything quickly changes around you.
Many people stretch and warp, turning into pure energy, before dissipating into thin pale wisps in the air.
Others fall down to the ground writhing in unimaginable terror as their minds are destroyed and all reality becomes impossible for them to grasp.
Your eyes follow the the wisps of energy... what is left of many beings... they twist and swirl into the shadows, forming a massive whirlwind of energy, all slowly swirling around a pair of long golden-orange eyes.
The eyes peer curiously at you from the darkness. But you feel a malignant hatred radiating from them as well.
The energy swirls into the creature, all absorbed for some unknown reason, before it fades away with an alien hiss.
Is this a dream? A memory?
All you know for sure, is that if you dare to wake up from this nightmare, a worse one will await you...
