It's another peaceful day in Toad Town. The Toads living there wander about happily and life is generally great. It looks to be a good day. In fact, there's a party being held at the castle today. Princess Peach was recently rescued from another world and wanted to throw a party to celebrate and to congratulate the people that saved her. You'd need an invitation to get in, of course. The Toads in the streets celebrate with balloons and decorations all throughout the town. There's all kinds of souvenirs being sold too. People from all over the Mushroom Kingdom have shown up.
---Tulip---
"Mail call!" Tulip heads outside in the morning as Parakarry flies off, finding a special letter in her mailbox. It's from the princess herself! She has heard about Tulip and her amazing skill as a gardener and wants her to prepare the flowers for her party. It comes with an invitation as well!
---Bandoo---
Bandoo wakes up behind a building in Toad Town. He doesn't seem to know why he's here. Or how he got here. He looks kind of like a ghost. Did something happen...?

Kameron hears something outside of his door. The loud clang of a mailbox. "Mail call!" It must be that paratroopa that delivers the mail...

"IIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIII"
Tulip squeaked in excitement in the middle of her garden, already preparing a bouquet. Of course, the bouquet would be Pink like Peach... With a bit of yellow and white flowers thrown in there.
"This is so exciting! I'm making bouquets for the princess! Oh no... My normal Wiggler shoes won't do. I need to find something more proper."
Tulip ran into the shoe shop and went straight to the counter, shouting at the cashier.
"QUICK! QUICK! I NEED EIGHT PAIR OF BLACK WAXED SHOES!!!"
---Bandoo---
"Huh... Huh... Where is this place? I remember being on the SS Tea Cup, then that yellow guy grabbed me and threw me off the boat... I'll ask someone..."
Bandoo approached the closest Toad he could find.
"Excuse me, do you know where we are?"

Tulip goes charging into the shoe shop and screams for some new shoes, charging at the counter. The cashier Toad panics and yells before falling backwards. He then gets back up and brushes himself off.
Cashier: Please don't scream so much...
He appears startled from Tulip's sudden entry.
Cashier: Eight Black Shoes...here you go.
The Toad places eight pairs of black shoes on the table.
Cashier: That's about...100 Coins...
Tulip pays the amount of coins necessary and gains her shiny, black shoes. These should work!
(Don't worry about spending money. I'm not keeping track of coins until we reach the part where the game really starts.)
---Bandoo---
Bandoo walks up to an unknown Toad and asks him where he is.
Toad: Here? This is Toad Town! Welcome! We're just starting up the festivities! Be sure to enjoy! You might not get another chance to celebrate like this! Do you need some help with where and what everything is?

Tulip wastes no time in heading home and gathering up her bouquets. She then charges off toward the princess' castle with her bouquets in...hand? Foot? However Wigglers hold things. The guards stop her, but once they see her invitation, she's allowed inside.
There are multiple people from all over the world in here. A family of Goombas, a fancy Boo and her butler, a famous Koopa explorer, a famous scientist and his assistant, a world famous wrestler from the Glitz Pit, A bob-bomb pirate captain, a famous actress, and...the mail man? It's almost like everyone is here. There's even a weird looking purple guy in the corner. One of the castle guards directs you to the princess. "She's waiting in her room over that way."

Toad: Of course! Where else would you be?

Tulip charges past all the guests and goes right to the princess. She runs into Peach's room and sees the princess getting ready.
Peach: Oh, you must be the florist. Hello. I am Princess Peach. I was hoping to decorate the castle with some flowers. What do you think?

"Eh? An invitation to a party? Do I look like the partying type? An it's about what happened in that other world, which means those obnoxious kids will probably be there talking about how great they think they are... Yeah, I'm definitely not going to this."
Kameron walks back inside and sits back down in his chair.

Bruno and Bill get off a boat at Toad Town together. Both of them have invitations to Peach's castle since they helped to save her on their adventure in that other world.

Swor walks into Toad Town from his training as a swordstoad. It looks like everyone is celebrating for some reason. There are decorations everywhere. All kinds of different people walk around too. There are booths to play games at and booths that sell food.

You walk into Toad Town and see everyone celebrating. The invitation from your relative, Princess Peach is in your hand. She seemed excited to have you here. All kinds of booths are set up here. Game booths, shopping booths, food booths, and so on. There's also a wide variety of people here. Two toad guards follow you at your sides.
Guard: Don't worry, Princess Roxxane! We'll keep you safe!
Guard: No giant turtles are gonna kidnap you!
