The Hunter is a disturbing creature created by Doctor Challus Mercer. It is a strange fleshy creature, often coated in blood. The Hunter has two long blades attached to it that serve as its main weapon. It will rely on these to pierce its opponent and dismember them. The Hunter often will terrify its opponent by following them around, creating an unusual growling sound and sharpening its blades. The Hunter is very skilled at breaking the opponent's calm and tearing them apart while they panic. The Hunter also carries the ability to regenerate any part of its body that has fallen off almost instantly. With its great speed and horrific ways, Hunter makes a tough opponent to beat.
Link is the hero of Hyrule. He has saved the world of Hyrule numerous times from many threats with the most common being Ganon. Every time Hyrule needs Link the most, he is reborn and somehow looks exactly the same. It's kind of like being the Avatar, but it's more like a curse. Link has a vast amount of experience fighting a variety of monsters. He's fought dragons, ghosts, and even gigantic pigs. Link not only has a vast experience with monsters, but is also a master of many weapons. He has almost everything from his Hookshot to his Fire Rod. Link is not only able to carry too many items to list, but he also has some experience with magic. Link is able to use magic to shoot flaming arrows, freezing arrows, and even arrows of light able to seal away darkness. Link is also able to use magic such as Farore's Wind to teleport or Din's Fire to create a large blast of fire around him. Link even has the ability to play the Ocarina of Time. Depending on the song, he can have various effects. Link's most valuable weapon of choice, however, is his Master Sword and Hylian Shield. The Master Sword is one of the strongest swords in the world and is indestructible with the ability to deflect magic. The Hylian Shield is indestructible as well and works well to protect Link from nearly every attack.
The arena has shifted to a dark cave system with many sharps twists and turns. The crowd watched closely on the large screen as Link enters the cave. Link looks around carefully a moment before taking out his lantern, lighting it before attaching it to his waist. With a dim light, Link walks on through the cave. Link comes through many turns in the cave, noticing that he hasn't seen the creature at all yet. As Link continues on with his sword and shield ready, the sound of a strange, low growling echoes through the cave. Link moves on, attempting to ignore it, but the sound only gets louder. Soon, there's the sound of blades being scraped against each other as if sharpening them. Link starts to get worried, but his hand glows as the Triforce of Courage shines brightly. Link isn't scared any longer and courageously marches on forward, literally bumping into the Hunter. The strange beast roars at Link as it throws a slash at him. Link quickly blocks the attack with his shield and hops up to his feet. The monster attacks using two more slashes, but Link dodges with a swift backflip. Link chops off both arms with his sword before slashing the monster directly in half. He then places the sword away and begins to walk off before feeling a sudden pain from behind. A slash is on his arm from the blades of the Hunter as it regenerated. Link holds his shield up to protect from a flurry of slashes as he drinks a potion, recovering all his hearts. Link then retaliates by cutting off the arm again, but it just as quickly comes back swinging. Link's almost hit as he guards again. He needs to get some distance, so he quickly puts on the Pegasus Boots, dashing away and gaining a ton of distance between himself and the Hunter. He then turns around and unleashes a rain of arrows from his bow on the Hunter, cutting it apart again before launching an ice arrow, freezing its body in a large block of ice. Link watches a moment longer as the ice starts cracking. It then blasts apart as the Hunter continues charging on through, getting some slashes in on Link. Link activates the Triforce Slash, trapping the beast in a swirling Triforce as he cuts through it multiple times before charging up the final blow, launching the chopped up bits down the dark tunnel. It doesn't work as the Hunter returns, charging through, stabbing Link and lifting him up on its blade. The Hunter lunges forward with the other blade, prepared to pierce Link's skull, but Link teleports away just in time. He appears quickly behind the Hunter. With blood soaking his tunic, Link shoots multiple fire arrows into the Hunter as it tries to run toward Link, but can't handle the flames. Link keeps up the fire barrage as the Hunter approaches closer. As the Hunter and Link are nearly next to each other, Link lifts his arm up high before swinging it downward as a large orb of fire surrounds him, incinerating the Hunter. Link falls down on the ground before drinking another colored potion, restoring his wounds. With the Hunter being a pile of ash, Link has won this.
Even though the Hunter had very powerful attacks and a very fast attack, Link had the ability to block all of them easily with his shield. Link was also able to stay calm and think things through while fighting the Hunter with the help of the Triforce of Courage. Link also carried the Hunter's only weakness. With his multitude of fire weapons, Link had easy access to the Hunter's weakness and could easily incinerate it.
