If a Note Beast is knocked out, they're switcged with one of your standby Note Beasts and returned to the instrument until you rest at the base. If a Conductor is knocked out, their Note Beasts are as well, so you'll want to keep your Conductor safe. You won't die unless the entire party wipes. Even then, you may not. However, there are times when you should definitely consider running. Don't get cocky and take on something way higher level than you. You should know if something is dangerous. It will be pretty clear.

Oh i forgot to mention that i made a huge change to Jills backstory. Instead of being scared to death of note beasts and conductors. She actually wants to be the very best conductor (like no one ever was) because she was saved by a horde of shadows that destroyed her village and killed her parents.
So who wants to be the conductor that saved Jill and shes forever thankful and stuff?
