You know the fish are just harmlessly swimming right. Pretty sure you could just suck them up with little or no fight
If you want I can always get Granny ghost to tend to the flowers away from the fountain and you can go ahead and suck up the fish.
Smash well have fun fighting that dastardly light post.

Smash started running towards the lampposts quicker, barely even stopping to open the door.
(And now you've learned the secret to getting Smash not to kill every ghost they encounter. While it won't always work and over reliance on it will drastically lower the odds of it working, you can divert his attention into destroying something else.)

Smash smashes the lamppost with his hammer, knocking it over and busting it open. Vram then uses his engineering skills to take out the wires and toss them into the fountain. The fish are all zapped and shocked, losing their innocent looking facade and revealing their piranha-like look and sharp teeth. "Surprise! Surprise!"
Meanwhile, Linda talks to the senile ghost. "No, it's just that no humans are allowed here. This is a great big home for ghosts and ghosts only. If you enter, you also need to become a ghost. Then we can all be a big, happy family~" As she says this, she slowly turns around and reveals herself, holding the hedge clippers. The rose bushes begin to move and reveal to be multiple fanged bush monsters with thorny whip vines. "NOW YOU CAN JOIN US."

"Eep but but but not good I like talking with ghosts but umm I kinda of still like being human," Linda says backing away from the ghost gardener. "But this ghost why is she trying to kill me," Linda thought in a panic. "All the ghost in the past were harmless or just pranksters never outright looking to kill anyone," Linda thought to herself.
Linda looks for any source of light and notices Varm made a makeshift light with the light posts that Smash broke.
Linda makes her way towards Varm while keeping her eyes on the boss ghost and the vines making sure to Dodge them until she can fight them back

Vram looks insulted by the fact his plan didn't stun the fish.
Vram: "We need some light! Protect me!"
Vram will use his special skill to light a lamp post on.

"Smash! If this thing is more powerful than a normal ghost, then maybe you smashing it could give me and Linda enough time to suck in the fishes without you killing it!"

Charge after it, juke to the side out of the way of those clippers, then perform an upwards swing aimed at her chin.

Smash runs in toward the gardener ghost and jumps to the side, avoiding her hedge clippers. He then goes for a smash to the face, hitting the gardener's head up and making her stumble back a bit, but as he does this, the monstrous rose bushes wrap their thorny vines around Smash and holds him in the air. They're attempting to tear him apart with their vines by pulling on his limbs. Meanwhile, Varm and Linda manage to suck up all the fish in the fountain. Both of them catch two. Their ghost capture total is up to five now. They then see that Smash is currently being pulled on by the plants from his arms and legs. The gardener ghost slowly approaches him with her hedge clippers. "Oh, dear me. I think I threw my back out." She walks rather slowly...
The plants give her a look as if saying "Really? Really?"

Bite one of the plants between the thorns on them in an attempt to free his arm holding Betty. If he can do that, strike the rest of the plants and then hit her again.

(RIP Smash its been fun.....JK) Hey Varm any ideas. Can't leave Smash to get ripped apart can we?  ? I guess we can help him but what can our vacumms do against the plants unless we double up our efforts to sucking up the old lady ghost |

Vram: "Okay... Listen to me. I will take the wires out of the water. This will probably shock and stun me. What you need to do is take the wires afterwards and make them connect next to the plants so they burn down. Then Smash will simply have to jump in the water."
