Rachel: "Oh I forgot.

We need more Beastmen Gerand."

After a long journey, you eventually come across the walls to the Hope Guild. Heading to the gate, you find that getting inside is easy. A young man with brown hair and green eyes lets you in. He wears a green shirt with one of the long sleeves torn off along with simple brown pants and boots. He wears a green bandana as well and leather gloves on his hands. From the two daggers you see attached to his belt, you can guess he probably fights in a thief-rogue style. "So, you're here to join the guild, right? We actually got two other new guys today too. But both of them are Beastmen. Uh...you don't look like you need any training in fighting, so...I guess while they're doing that, I'll help you..." He looks around as if looking for something on you. "Hmm...alright, I'll help you get a Note Beast. It doesn't look like you have one. Do you know how to play any instruments?"

As Reizen walks through the gate with the guy talking to him, he gets a look at the area. Large and sturdy walls stand at the edge of the base, but inside, it transitions from entirely forest to almost a small town. It's probably the largest town you've seen since the Symphony Summoning. Seeing something like this after so long is almost strange. Dream-like in a way. The sunlight comes in clearly through the treetops here. It looks like the area is split up into various sections. The main square, where you notice a woman and her dragon. It looks like a common meeting place. A residential location with various houses for those that work at the base. The homes here look kind of cozy. A certain street here seems to have a large amount of shops on it. You notice what looks like a forge there as well. Then there's the training grounds. Obstacle courses, a track, a field, and various dummies to battle with are found there. Then you see the most prominent feature of them all. A large tree that has been made into a giant dorm for the guild members.

Gerand leads you over in the direction of the main square and brings you to what looks like a storage area. Various crates and barrels of weapons, materials, notes, and instruments can be seen here. He then motions toward the instruments. "Feel free to look around until you find something you like. Of course, anything will do if you brought an instrument of your own."

You notice he laughs a bit. "Sorry, I didn't mean to laugh. I just think it's a little funny. You probably didn't know, but I'm one of the guild leaders. I was part of the Storm Guild that fought against the Symphony Summon. So, you could say I know how to use these." He taps the daggers at his waist with his hands. "Alright, so since you've done this before, I assume you know you're going to need a Note, right? I'll go take a look at what we've got left. These things are getting hard to find, you know." He shuffles through a few crates and then takes out one that seems sadly low on supplies. "Here we go, our leftover notes. Uh...hm. There isn't much to pick from. But as my own guild leader once said, as long as you put your heart into it, it can become strong."

He shows you two different types of notes. One looks like it contains a blazing fire within and the other looks like a simple, white colored note. A blank slate, almost. The Blaze Note and the Basic Note.

(If you'd like, you can wait a little longer and use the Wood Note that B-Ball Mage, Melody, and Elegra found. As long as it's okay with them.)

Reizen appraises the boy with a new light, though his eyes sparkle with amusement. "That so? Well then, Mr mighty Guild Leader. Wouldn't throw that title around too much, if I were you. Dunno if you've traveled out and around much since the Summoning, but a lot of the commonfolk still blame you for the apocalypse. Muuuuuussst be a heavy burden for one so young."

He grins, somewhere between playful and mocking. It's quite clear however that he doesn't think much of the boy. Reizen picks up the Blaze Note. "This one will do just fine. So, tell me boy. I'm looking for someone. The leader of my old outfit, Gold Mercs. Heard he disappeared when the world went boom, but his body wasn't ever found. You were part of the big battle, right? Know anything?"

B-Ball Mage: "Ooh, new people. Guess you ain't the bottom rooks no more, huh? Anyways, we should get you patched up ASAP." B-Ball Mage heads to grab some medical supplies or find the nearest healer.

Reizen grunts at the kid, but says nothing in response to his idealistic foolishness. When they reach the altar, he takes a few minutes to pluck at the strings before doing anything.

"Been too long," he mutters under his breath. "But the fingers and the soul never forget. You got some nice strings, old girl. Your last master took real nice care of you. But let's see what you can really do."

Reizen places the note on the altar, throws off his cloak, throws his head back, and launches into an epic guitar solo, his fingers moving at seemingly impossible speeds. The twin golden insignia of the Lion and Dragon gleam in the light.
