The Dating Sim Q and A

Well, he's going to attack about three times as hard as a regular person while he has 10 ranking with everyone. But he's Karl. And that might not happen.

What was that game?

It's a Pokémon themed RP on a private gameFAQs board, and while I'd like to say it's gotten better it really hasn't. At least there haven't been any more things like making up a brand new move upon realizing that Contrary also effects stat buffs so that using Coil lowers the user's stats or trying to claim that the main villain has no soul after an Aegislash grabbed onto them (all while the GM threatened to punish us all for this - let that sink in for a moment, trying to win a fight instead of letting ourselves get godmodded was viewed as a punishable offense), but recently there was perhaps the worst incident yet in which one of those character deaths with nothing working to save them (in this case rushing their next post so that I didn't even have time to do anything) was done on another player's character (which resulted in one of the only times in which any player other than me called them out on it since the player whose character was shot was pissed and even he player that always defended said GM didn't help them on this one). Once this decision was overturned because it was bullshit and even the GM knew this they instead killed one of their own characters while claiming that they were crying writing their last words (despite also admitting that hey we're planning to kill them for a while now because they were out of ideas for them). I pointed out that this still only solved part of the problem and that there was still the matter of both players with characters still conscious were making their best efforts to prevent this (I had a character using Psychic to pull the gun up to their face at too fast of a speed for them to react and shoot someone else, the other player had a big three post sequence of their character getting a brand new ability and charging forwards only to not even be mentioned, but naturally they thought that their character being ignored was fine), but since now I was the only player objecting to this and it became a two against one in the GM's favor my complaints fell on deaf ears. It was declared that there would be no retcons to save the character and yet at the same time it was retconned so that the trigger was pulled before Psychic and the gun was pulled up to point at the character, and that was that. On the bright side I earned the respect of several people who had already dropped out of the game because they were tired of seeing things like this.
