Appearance: Big and tough. Maybe even a little scary. Depends on who you are. He's tall and burly as well as very muscular. His hair is short and dark brown, and if you can see his eyes, they're dark blue. Some say they stare into your very soul. But he always wears sunglasses, so that's not always a problem. When he takes them off, you can tell he means business. He's got a five o clock shadow. Often wears a simple, black T-shirt along with either dark colored pants or simply jeans. He's got a black, leather jacket that seems to be for looks and less for warmth. Especially with the short sleeves. The collar is usually popped up. He wears matching leather gloves that are fingerless, aside from the thumb. Wears either black boots or black and white sneakers.
Backstory: Cyrus originally wanted to become a psychologist, but clearly failed in that. He fell back on a secondary plan and opened up a bar on the sketchier side of town. It's small and doesn't always have a lot of service, but it's enough to get by. As the bartender and owner, he hears a lot of talk about goings on in the town. Used to speaking with people and getting information out of them. He also works as his own bouncer in a way. Not only is he good in a fist fight, but he keeps a handgun in the back of the bar for...reasons. Don't question it.
Reason to begin investigation: He heard some weird crap about strange creatures showing up recently. He originally thought the customer was crazy until more reports of the same thing began showing up. Figuring this must mean something strange, he set out to figure out what exactly it is. Probably some stupid kids pulling pranks or something...

And all around where these flopping, amorphous shapes. In the center was the worst part of it all. Azothoth himself. A mass of horrific unknown terror. My mind could barely hold together just looking at it... I fled, I had to. Everytime I sleep, that witch drags me a little bit closer... closer to azothoth and his black book of names."

Backstory: There are few people in town who haven't heard the tragic story of the Brand family. Mr. and Mrs. Brand were a couple of successful aristocrats who lived towards the edge of the city in a large mansion, and fourteen years ago they couldn't be happier to have a child. Only seven years later, however, their home mysteriously burned down. Only the bodies of the two parents were found, but their child was presumed dead as well.
Reason to begin investigation: Ignatius doesn't like to talk about his personal reasons for investigating (or about himself in general), but it may have something to do with the strange book he always seems to carry around...

Reason to begin investigation: Well, he doesn't really want his factories to be destroyed, and you have to do a job yourself if you want it done correctly! So, he shall bring an end to these rumors and prestige to his company by revealing that these monsters do not exist!

Appearance: Big and tough. Maybe even a little scary. Depends on who you are. He's tall and burly as well as very muscular. His hair is short and dark brown, and if you can see his eyes, they're dark blue. Some say they stare into your very soul. But he always wears sunglasses, so that's not always a problem. When he takes them off, you can tell he means business. He's got a five o clock shadow. Often wears a simple, black T-shirt along with either dark colored pants or simply jeans. He's got a black, leather jacket that seems to be for looks and less for warmth. Especially with the short sleeves. The collar is usually popped up. He wears matching leather gloves that are fingerless, aside from the thumb. Wears either black boots or black and white sneakers.
Backstory: Cyrus originally wanted to become a psychologist, but clearly failed in that. He fell back on a secondary plan and opened up a bar on the sketchier side of town. It's small and doesn't always have a lot of service, but it's enough to get by. As the bartender and owner, he hears a lot of talk about goings on in the town. Used to speaking with people and getting information out of them. He also works as his own bouncer in a way. Not only is he good in a fist fight, but he keeps a handgun in the back of the bar for...reasons. Don't question it.
Reason to begin investigation: He heard some weird crap about strange creatures showing up recently. He originally thought the customer was crazy until more reports of the same thing began showing up. Figuring this must mean something strange, he set out to figure out what exactly it is. Probably some stupid kids pulling pranks or something...

My life was satisfying all in all... that all changed when I slept in an odd hotel on a trip one night. There were little scratchings on the wall, little bits of some kind of formula... and when's i went to sleep, some fucking creep was there! In my dreams! She... or it... told me I had to go to the black throne of the blind idiot god azothoth! When I went there was this horrible tune... it sounded like a flute. A thin, piping, and monotonous flute. And all around where these flopping, amorphous shapes. In the center was the worst part of it all. Azothoth himself. A mass of horrific unknown terror. My mind could barely hold together just looking at it... I fled, I had to. Everytime I sleep, that witch drags me a little bit closer... closer to azothoth and his black book of names."
"But does that justify all this madness... this "investigation?" You've almost gotten three people killed Mr. Jenkins."

While not the most muscular person around he makes up for it by being surprisingly light on his feet.
Backstory: There are few people in town who haven't heard the tragic story of the Brand family. Mr. and Mrs. Brand were a couple of successful aristocrats who lived towards the edge of the city in a large mansion, and fourteen years ago they couldn't be happier to have a child. Only seven years later, however, their home mysteriously burned down. Only the bodies of the two parents were found, but their child was presumed dead as well.
Reason to begin investigation: Ignatius doesn't like to talk about his personal reasons for investigating (or about himself in general), but it may have something to do with the strange book he always seems to carry around...
