(Nah, I've got no plans to have him evolve.) A bright light surrounds Cinder, but as he shakes his head it fades away without any changes to him. "You know what, I'm finally getting the hang of this quadrupedal form. I think I'll stick with this."

(I have no plans of using a Thunderstone on Paula. But how do friendship evolutions work in Mystery Dungeon.)

After a certain amount of time, the friendship evolution will happen.

I want Pip to evolve. Pip: "Aw, heck yeah! I'm feelin' all kinds of tingly! I feel like I'm on top of the world!"

Pip is surrounded in a white light as he grows in size, changing forms into Prinplup! Pip has evolved!
Cinder shakes away the power and seems content with his current form.
The party then moves on ahead. Moving past a few more trees and tropical plants, they hear what sounds like a shout for help. They quickly move ahead towards it, to a clearing. A large Shadow Gem sits in the center of the clearing with three unknown Pokemon standing around it. There's...great Arceus, what ARE those!?
A giant shadow lion and a giant shadow bat Pokemon are standing on either side of the group. It's Solgaleo and Lunala. Only they're shadows. You've taken down one shadow legendary before, but can you handle two at the same time!? The three unknown Pokemon stand, looking ready to battle. Rowlet, Litten, and Popplio.
(You're going to have seven characters fighting against these two, since the three new Pokemon will join you in this battle. Now I just have to figure out who it was that wanted each Pokemon. And what moves you want for them. I know Fuzz wanted Popplio, but I have to look back at who claimed the other two. The three of them are starting at level 15. You need to name them too.)
Rowlet Grass/Flying Tackle, Leafage, Peck, Astonish, Razor Leaf
Litten Fire Scratch, Ember, Growl, Lick, Leer, Fire Fang
Popplio Water Pound, Water Gun, Growl, Disarming Voice, Baby-Doll Eyes, Aqua Jet

(I'll take Water Gun, Aqua Jet, Disarming Voice, and... hmm...Let's go with Baby-Doll Eyes for Cadence' moves.) Cadence spots the group, shouting over to them. Cadence: "Oh thank Arceus, someone found us! Hey, can you lend us a hand?" Cinder: "Of course!" While Cinder tries to keep from panicking over the idea of fighting two legendary Pokémon at once, he will use Ember on Solgaleo. Meanwhile, Cadence will use Water Gun on Lunala.

Litten (male) name Meowser
Moves: Fire Fang, Scratch, Leer and Lick
Meowser: About time someone shows up. That owl is always sleeping. And this one over here keeps clapping like she is trying to call its attention.
Paula: Well somebody over here has an attitude.
Meowser: Quiet over there Pikachu who asked for your opinion anyways.
Paula: Well now looks like I need to teach some lesson in manners.
Meowser: Psst whatever just don't get in my way. (Meowster Stoutland please be safe I just hope I can make you proud of me.)
Paula will use a Electro ball Whip on the Lualuna. Meowser will use Fire Fang on Shadow Kitty.

I know you posted a super neutral answer Ultra, but I'll ask if you want to take the Rowlet first anyways. I don't particularly want a Rowlet character, but if you don't want Rowlet, I'll take it without a problem.

Cinder and Charcoal both unleash fire breath attacks on Solgaleo, doing effective damage, followed by Meowser leaping at him and chomping down with flaming fangs. Meanwhile, Cadence and Rowlet launch a Water Gun and Razor Leaf from a distance into Lunala, doing some damage before Paula jumps in and smashes an Electro Ball into the enemy. Buby stands in the back and provides a powerful Blizzard, doing heavy damage to both Solgaleo and Lunala. Solgaleo lets out a roar as its head is surrounded by psychic energy and it headbutts Meowser for some heavy damage, knocking him into the yellow range of his health gauge. Paula is hit by a Shadow Ball launched at her by Lunala, landing a critical hit that throws her into the red area of her health gauge.

Cinder and Cadence use the same moves as last time on their tagets, but due to a lack of proper coordination the moves collide together and create a cone of scalding hot steam that washes over both Shadow Pokémon. (I know that combos are supposed to be decided by you but since I've had this in mind since I planned Cadence out and it's difficult to make combos with fire and water I'd like to at least recommend this one to be considered. Steam Spray is a combo specific to Cinder and Cadence which requires one fire type moves and one water type move to be used together. By having the moves collide before reaching the target the flame causes the water to rapidly evaporate resulting in a wide cone of steam that spreads forward. Any enemies caught within the cone's range will take damage and have a high chance - 30%, the same as Scald - of being inflicted with a burn. If 30% seems too low then the odds could be increased, but the move being AoE already helps make it a better move and balance the fact that it takes two characters to use.)

I mean, it makes sense and isn't super OP, so sure. It's pretty much AOE Scald, right?
