Mystery Island

The party lets out one final round of their strongest attacks on Shadow Lunala, doing just enough damage to finish it off as it falls to the ground with a thud. It then dissolves away as the shadow Pokemon have been doing, leaving the party alone in the dungeon. Charcoal walks over and picks up the Shadow Gem that's left here, the source of the Shadow Pokemon.

Charcoal: We got another one. Where do these things come from anyway...?

(I've been looking forward to this post.)
Cinder lets out a sigh of relief.
"Glad that's over."
Suddenly, Cadence pops up right next to him causing Cinder to almost fall over from surprise.
"Speaking of that fight being over, you said we could talk about you guys being humans after the fight?"
"Alright, I guess so. I'll answer whatever questions you want to ask as long as you don't tell anyone else."
At this Cadence seems to perk up before rapid firing a series of questions.
"So where did you come from? I mean, there are no humans around here so you must have come from somewhere else, but how did you come here? What are humans like? Is it true that humans are all hairless and that only a few have stuff like psychic powers that are way weaker than even an Abra? Hang on, but you look like normal Pokémon. Wait, is that part of what brought you here? Did you get to pick what you turned into, or was it random? Can you change back and forth at will? Why did you come here? Oh, are you here to save the world from a Giant Evil Snowflake thing or prevent a post-apocalpytic future where time has stopped from happening or..."
By this point Cinder has completely lost track and is simply staring at her with a slightly worried expression over what he's gotten himself into with this offer. Once she's finally stopped, he takes a moment to compose himself.
"Alright, let's try this again, one question at a time."
...
"We think we were brought here to stop something involving these Shadow Stones. I'm not sure what you're talking about with the snowflake thing or some sort of future without time. So, any more questions?"
"Just one. You guys are a rescue team, right? Do you think I could join?"
"Wait, what?"
"Well, since I don't have anything to give you as payment for saving us joining your team is probably just as helpful, and considering all the things you just told me you're all clearly involved in something interesting. Besides, you said you want to keep the whole human thing a secret as much as possible, right? Well, since I already know about it then there's no harm in letting me join! So, is that a yes?"
Cinder looks at the rest of the group, seeing what they think about this.

Paula and Meowser

Paula: Welp I have no issue with Candance is it. Welcome to the team.

Meowser gets up very weakly and looks towards Paula.

Meowser: Well if she is going and if that owls going I guess I can come along too.

Paula: Oh really you sure you want to follow a mouse like me around.

Meowser: For a mouse you got some good skill and maybe (turns away with some defiance) I can become stronger by going with you guys. Who knows maybe make my late great mentor proud?

Paula: Sure I know Chip is going to be thrilled to have a brother.

Meowser: Chip? Brother?

Paula: Oh yeah Chip is a Pichu that hatched from an egg I got. The egg was a gift from a client. Ever since he hatched he calls me Mama.

Meowser: So there is another mouse.

Paula: Yup and your going to be a good kitty and do everything I say.

Meowser: Everything? (With a worried expression)

Paula: Everything unless you prefer to stay here all alone on this island.

Meowser: Meow Meow

"Let's see..."
Cinder does a quick run through of the team in his head.
"Nope, as far as I can tell none of us are rock type, although I can't promise there won't be any at the guild."

Paula and Meowser

Meowser: To tell the truth I don't really get along with Rock types either. You know being a fire type and everything.

Paula: Well I don't think theres any rock we have water types.

Meowser: Ehh after hanging around clappy over there its fine.....ish.

Paula: Now that is taken care of you have any questions about me.

Meowser: Like what.

Paula: Well that thing I kinda of blurted out about my other life.

Meowser: Oh yeah that. So you said Kalos Queen. Does that mean your some type of royalty?

Paula: Umm not exactly. Its more a title given to the top performer of this region I..... well its given to the top performer in Kalos.

Meowser: So your royal meowness what are your orders?

Paula has turned her back to Meowser and is trying to keep her tears hidden from the others.

Meowser: So should I take the head of some....

Paula: Enough just forget about that okay. I was never a queen or anything and I never deserved it in the first place.

(Paula chokes out.)

Meowser: Meow.

Paula: I just need to be alone for a bit. Cinder come get me when we are ready to go.

Paula runs off to the shores. Little tear drops can be seen following the paw prints she left.

Meowser: Wait what just happened. Umm is she usually like this? Is this part of being a human?

"She's not usually like this, what you said must have struck a nerve. I'll go keep an eye on her from a distance, but as long as she's not in danger we should let her have a minute alone. We'll leave as soon as she looks like she's ready."
Cinder follows the footsteps towards the beach, stopping just shy of actually reaching the beach but close enough to keep an eye on Paula through the foliage.
