You march into the next room proudly and take a look at the guild gathered there.
The group seems to be composed of a Medic, a Protector, a Gunner, a Bushi, and a Ninja.
The medic seems to be the oldest of them all and is likely their leader as he's the one giving them orders. He's got light brown hair and red eyes. You also notice a bit of a beard around his jawline. He wears a white labcoat and carries a brown bag with various medicines inside.
The protector looks about the same age as the medic with purple hair and green eyes. She wears blue armor and carries both a sword and shield with her.
The gunner has short, blond hair and blue eyes and wears glasses. She wears a blue and white fuzzy coat that looks pretty warm and seems to be almost hiding behind the protector.
The ninja has curly, black hair and wears a white and red fox mask that hides his face. His clothes are all black and red and he says nothing while watching you.
The bushi is tall and muscular and has purple fur, looking kind of like a wolfman. He has red claws and only wears black pants with a red sash worn like a belt and various talismans hanging from it. He watches you carefully.
As you walk in you immediately begin bragging about your team's strength.
Lucia looks surprised. "...! Now, you shouldn't be so rude! I'm sure this guild is very skilled as well."
The medic gives you an odd look. "I don't believe we've met. It's good to meet you. We're the Storm Guild. And you are?"
You tell him you're the best guild ever with no possible competition. The Miasma Dogs!
"...I see." He seems to study you in a way. "Well, my name is Sam. I'm this guild's leader. The protector over there is Elizabeth, the gunner is Leanne, the bushi is Wolf, and...well, we aren't sure what the ninja's name is. He hasn't told us. But we just call him Haiku. And your name...?"
You introduce him to your teammates, Terra, the best highlander in her village
"The best...? I dunno about that..."
Lucia, the best healing monk in the world
"In the world? I don't remember claiming that..."
Balor, the bear that has survived a thousand arrows to the knee
Balor nods in agreement.
Erin, the silent assassin that's taken out a thousand emperors with arrows to the knee
"...I didn't do anything of the sort."
And finally, Hex. She's killed at least half a million people at once, but every time someone asks the story, she changes it.
"...I'm not denying it."
The other guild gives you an odd look. The medic seems to still be studying your group while Elizabeth just stares at you in confusion. Leanne is practically shaking behind Elizbeth and the Bushi looks like he doesn't believe a thing you're saying. It's impossible to gauge Haiku's expression, but you're fairly certain he's watching you.
You then challenge the other guild to a race, stating that you'll win.
Sam smiles a bit. "Oh? A race? Very well. Let's see who can clear the trial first, shall we?"
You get the feeling maybe that was a mistake.
Terra seems excited, however. "Awesome! I'd love a good race! This kind of competition should help encourage us to get there faster!"
Erin sighs. "...Races are childish."
"Then why are you smiling?"
"..."
Lucia thinks a moment before tapping you on the shoulder. "Do you remember what we were supposed to come down here for? I don't believe we asked..."
Erin sighs again. "You came here without actually knowing the objective...?"
Sam laughs a bit, watching your guild. "Here, maybe I can help you guys out. We're supposed to be looking for The Mark of Lloiger. It's a little metal piece with a sun design on it. You'll know it when you see it. It's probably in the deepest part of the first floor."
You tell him you're most definitely going to beat him to the treasure while dramatically pointing at him. Balor nods in agreement.
"Alright, well, good luck. We'll leave you to that. See you at the end of the labyrinth."
Lucia waves to them. "Good luck and safe travels!"
You then take a look at your options for where to go from here. Looks like you could head either east or west from this room. You should probably do your best to reach the end of the labyrinth before that group you challenged...
