You head over to the note and start reading it. Hmm. None of the text seems any different on it. It's just Sparky telling you he thought you might enjoy a nice gift while he was passing by on his way to Dragon Canyon. This must have been some time before the battle. Sparky wasn't traveling the plains at night, was he? Anyway, you notice that whatever presence was watching you seems to be gone now. Back to the real question, though. Where is Daryl and Purple Tanglerose?

Are Terra and Waite there? Because that's the realest question. They should've been here way ahead, even as the Crow flies...
Crow will peel a bit of bark and make a nice place to hang the flower crown for now, then go perch at the window. "Why do all my new friends run away?"

Crow eventually gets bored and decides something must've happened to Terra and Waite. Just. Friggin'. Great. Without any better to do, or any idea where K, Rena, or Mercedes are... Crow decides to head after Sparky.
