Grace appears from the sphere and creates an icy wind that damages all the enemy Tangleroses before Terra runs in and starts to tear away at one of the Tangleroses. Without its vines, it looks rather harmless, just gnashing its sharp teeth in an angry fashion. Rena puts an arrow through the mouth, causing the Tangelrose Terra attacked to die. Meanwhile, Malik takes out a hammer and stands in front of Anubis, guarding him carefully. Spooky quickly changes outfits and teleports into the center of the Tangleroses, damaging them all by slashing at them with her scythe and floating up and away from them. Finally, Dry Bowser and King Boo appear, setting two of the Tangleroses on fire and burning them entirely away. As Malefio approaches, the Tangleroses attempt to whip him with their vines, but the black cat's bell rings, causing their vines to tangle up together before Malefio cuts them off.
The four remaining Tangleroses all seem fairly helpless without their vines. They're also weak enough that you should be able to edit them if you wish.

Edit those not affected by crow to be neutral good and have healing properties.

With the battle over, all four of the Tangleroses are broken apart into code with your edit ability before being put back together. They all appear to be fully recovered and have their vines back. The Tanglerose Crow edited changes to be purple colored and wanders over to Terra before starting to gnaw on her dress a bit.
The other three Tangleroses no longer have thorny vines, but instead flowery vines that release green lights that heal you when you touch them. They wander around the area, healing random things and people that look injured by wrapping their healing vines around them.

Malefio looks at Terra and the Crow.
Spooky: "So, do we kill them?"
Malefio: "WHAT? NO! Anyway. My name is Malefio... I don't think I recognize you. I'm trying to get Anubis over there to Mt. Chill, might we share our path?"

Crow continues to perch in the tree. He struggles with all his might to not call Spooky cute. Instead, he does the adorable thing birds do where they snap their neck around and look at you from several different angles. "Squwark?"
"You stupid bird, he already saw your orb!" Terra calls out, pushing the tanglerose away. She turns to Malefio. "Ignore him. He's the type of jackass who'd rather turn an undesirable trait down instead of off just to piss me off." She pauses to clear her throat and kick the tanglerose back again. "Sorry, but this place was our destination. We're looking for a lost Deku shrub."
"Shrub!" Crow agrees.

Malefio: "I see... Unfortunately, I have no time to help you right now. Anubis' time is limited. I think we can link our orbs together to communicate from anywhere. With Cyborg in my inventory, if you're ever in grave danger, I simply need your coordinates to teleport right next to you!

Malefio takes the two orbs and puts them close together. They both shine brightly for a moment before returning to normal. Interesting.

Terra shrugs. "I guess we should probably share information. Is there anything useful we know, though...? Um... There's a board in Castle Town - the town guard is really friendly, by the way - where you can take on quests. We're here because of that, actually, looking for a lost deku shrub last seen around here. I don't suppose you bumped into any other- oh! If you're heading to Mt. Chill, there was a quest available to deliver something to the Penguin Village - maybe that's around there, if you need some money. Other than that... Apparently the Sunshine Plains are really dangerous at night. Some fog rolls in, lots of scary monsters... We bumped into some friendly traders around there, they could still be around."

Malefio: "I already warned you about Mark... Only information I have is to be careful in the Fairy Lands. A certain Solaria is corrupted and seems to be in control of that area. Now if you'll excuse me, a faunus is dying on my horse."
Malefio will salute Terra and Crow, then have Cyborg come out again to guide him west. Malik will go back on Epona and follow.
Spooky: "Sunshine Plains? Sunshine sounds lame..."
Spooky flies around Terra with a bored expression, then follows Malefio.

"...So are we going?" Rena looks at you, waiting for an answer while the Purple Tanglerose starts to munch on Terra's dress again.

Crow looks at Terra. "Let's go check out the Fairy Woods."
"Uh... no?" Terra says, batting the thing away. "We have a job to do here."
"But... Fairy Woods."
"But duty."
"Well, I don't have any ideas other than 'wander aimlessly.' And maybe the shrub got to the fairy woods, that's what I'd do. If nothing else, maybe un-corrupting this Solaria person can convince her to help us."
"Yeah, or it could waste time we don't have!" Terra snaps.
Crow tilts his head around. "Alright, let's let Rena decide. Do you want to keep wandering aimlessly in the dangerous woods, or go actively seek out danger?"
Crow will do whatever she decides.
