Joey comforts the cactus and it seems sad. He helps console it and the Giant Cactuar starts to feel a little better. It still seems mad at Lupis and Sylvia though and angrily turns away from them while setting Joey down and sitting down to have a casual conversation with Joey. I have no idea what they're saying since I don't speak cactus, but I'm sure it's about something interesting.

Continue the conversation. Explain why Lupis and Sylvia were aggressive with some humor added in.

Joey explains to the Giant Cactuar why Lupis and Sylvia attacked it and the Giant Cactuar laughs a bit at his humor. It nods and seems to understand, but it still doesn't seem to like Lupis and Sylvia much.

Joey explains what he's doing out here and the cactus understands, nodding. It tells Joey he will need water to survive this desert. The cactus sees a lot of people travel through here and collapse from dehydration. It also tells Joey that cactus water out here makes people see illusions. It's very bad for the cacti and for the people.

The cactus happily nods to Joey and hands him an item as a gift for helping out with its complicated emotional problems. Joey got a Golden Needle! The cactus then reluctantly accepts Lupis and Sylvia's apology.

Joey will say goodbye to the cactus after providing his phone number if they want to talk again, and walk back to Terran.
" Bet you guys couldn't win with diplomacy like that."
