The party returns to Terran, with Sylvia dragging Joey as they go.

Joey attempts to run ahead, but sadly, his physical strength is outmatched by his allies as they drag him back, trying to fight his way out of their grip and even attempting to bite. Once they all reach Terran, they realize everyone has left on the other missions. There really isn't much else to do now...

Lupis and Sylvia chase after Joey, back to the desert, where the three of them are caught off guard as a Giant Cactuar pops right out of the ground and grabs Joey!

Lupis uses Makeshift Shield. I have no intention of letting it oneshot me with thousand needles, and while it may ignore defense a barrier might work better.
Sylvia uses Shattering Ice from behind the shield and Lupis, and if she has time she will try to turn the Makeshift Shield to glass with Flame Pillar. While glass usually is pretty weak, a solid chunk of glass is actually reasonably strong and would likely be able to block needles.

Lupis creates a shield of sand while Joey, in the hand of the Giant Cactus, starts flirting. The Giant Cactus becomes flustered and starts to blush as Sylvia creates a large spire of ice that explodes on the cactus, making it angry. She quickly melts the shield with fire to create a glass shield as the cactus (expectedly) launches multiple needles at them and they are repelled with a nice clink sound.

Take a moment to see if Joey can sooth it. If not, Flame Pillar. Don't leave the barrier.
