Hmm sucks that I can infuse my weapon with another team members magic skill. Would have been more efficient here
So I think it should go.
-Lupis tanks (duh) -Sylvia stacks the water bursts whenever she can to mess with the rock and fire of Ifrit (type advantage) -I lightning buff and double attack him (could probably work in conjunction to water debuffs with Sylvia) -Yura hits Ifrit from behind (don't know what dirty tricks does) and off tanks if need be due to having fire proof shield -Me and Sylvia dual heal tank(s) and party when needed
its a guardian so bringing him into the fold would be optimal unless there is more to this guy

If we win, do we get him as a summon?

Also, we're probably going to need to watch out for Hellfire. It's a powerful fire attack unique to Ifrit that hits all targets.

Oh, you guys should win then. That summon will help all of us in the long run.
I'm fighting something else right now, but know that you have my support!

There's also the fact that if we lose, every character involved dies, which is something I REALLY Don't want. I've grown rather attached to my characters.

Explore the beach to clear more monsters, fight the fire beast, etc.

Also, this may be confusing since Phoenix called Ifrit the volcano guardian, but Ifrit is not one of the Guardians. He's just a big, angry monster that wants to kill you for playing in his volcano.

Well, I'm pretty sure I don't want to explore anymore because of the huge event happening right now, and I doubt that my party can head to the others in time to help them (if they could even help), so the party will head back to town to defend it.

If the Phoenix swings by to pick us up, then the Ifrit will be free to wreck havoc. You guys should keep engaging the Ifrit, and I'll just head there myself.

It should take you about three turns.
