Malik continues to watch Aven intently. It looks like they're just talking more.
"I am sorry to hear that. I'm sure that it was hard. You are in a safe place now. This is a special place for all of us Verians to live with the protection of the Twin Lions. We don't get many visitors now. It wasn't always this peaceful though. We used to have many visitors, but visitors were all bad. The Verians come and stay, being friendly. So they're okay. We can all be friends. The Humans try to take the land and hurt Twin Lions. They are bad. The Elves try to steal from us. They are bad. The Magigen are really bad. They hurt many people. They say it's for research, but that's not true. Verians are all good though. We are all friends together with the Twin Lions, so things are good now. We have never seen small Goblin, but she might be okay. She is with you. So that is story of people. You are very welcome to stay. I take you to leader. He can help get you place to stay for now. Then maybe we find way to help you home."
"We aren't much further away..."
"Yaaaaayyyy! Let's go make deals with EVERYONE!"

Malik starts crawling in the bushes looking out for ruins, creatures or anything that seems weird.

Malik begins to shuffle through the bushes, looking around for anything out of the ordinary. There doesn't seem to be much, but Malik feels strange as he walks. Like something's wrong. After moving around a bit, he turns around and notices Captain Salty is gone.
Cheri and Joey run to the Weapon/Armor Shop. "Sales!"

Griffon stares at Joey, confused as Garren ignores him and continues to hammer away at a set of armor.
Malik listens for sounds, but can't seem to hear anything. He glances at Aven and notices the Verian is leading him to a somewhat larger house.
The Verian leads Aven to a larger house as he talks. "This house belongs to Elder Lion. For longest time, Elder Lion has connection that goes deep with Twin Lions. Elder Lion can communicate with Twin Lions. He speaks with heart, not with mouth. Elder Lion's family also learns these special powers. His child of the oldest becomes new Elder Lion and cycle continues. Not many Verians speak your language. They speak ancient language the Twin Lions teach." The lion Verian shows Aven into the house. There an old lion Verian sits, drinking tea. "This Elder Lion."

"Hello, Aven. It is nice to see you here. It has been quite some time since we've had friendly visitors." He's surprisingly fluent compared to the other lion.
"He came on ship. He was attacked by great Kraken of evil. He and his pet tiny Goblin were crashed into shore after hard battle."
"It seems you've had a rough journey here. It is nice to see a friend come from so far away. Have a seat, Aven." The Elder Lion pulls out a chair next to him. "I'd love to hear the story of your adventures. It seems you've gone on a few, seeing as you were fighting Pirates and that sword there looks pretty fancy. Here, have some tea. It will help you feel refreshed after such a hard battle." The Elder Lion pours Aven a cup of tea. "Please show this small Goblin to a room, son. She looks worn out."
"Yes." The lion that brought Aven here carries Reese off to another room.

"Wait, you can lose money by selling things!? This is hard."
As Malik yells excitedly, he hears a branch snap behind him. He quickly spins around, taking out his knife, but he doesn't see anyone. Malik then turns back around to move on and sees a Verian holding a bow with an arrow pointing right at him. Malik freezes for a moment before he hears something loud. "YAR!" Both he and the archer turn to look to the side as the archer is tackled and knocked over by Captain Salty. "They be onto us! Prepare to fight, boy!" Salty knocks out the Verian and takes out his axe as two more Verian archers appear.
