Delia is clearly uncomfortable. "What do y- why do you know about my research? Who are yo- oh. Wait." She relaxes. "You. I remember you. Hunting Horror. Oh, I get it. You want me to tutor you some. OK, hand me that book. And pull a chair up next to me."

"Alright." I guess this is the easiest way to learn this stuff. You know what they say. Something about not looking at horses.

You pull up a seat and spend a few minutes alone with Delia - the library doesn't seem very busy today, so no one complains as she tutors you.
She goes over the book you just read, and helps to put things in a bit more context. She explains that Hypnos is one of the elder gods, a race of incredibly powerful beings that humans have worshiped throughout the ages - many of the ancient gods were real, and helped to protect this world. Thor, Ra, Bast, Freya, Amaterasu, Sif... Many of them are forgotten. Dead, maybe, or just gone to protect other worlds from their eternal enemies, the outer gods (and their worshipers, the great old ones) in a massive war taking place on a universal scale - no, in a war spanning multiple dimensions.
She also tells you a bit about the flower burst... an event said to take place every few decades. The boundaries between Florville and other dimensions weaken, bridges between distant points in space appear, reality itself warps in subtle ways. Whether the flowers are a cause or just a side-effect, no one knows.
"I think that's why I'm getting such promising results lately..." she says with a smile that sends a chill down your spine. She actually wipes a bit of drool from the corner of her mouth...
You aren't sure how much of this you believe, but Delia's a surprisingly patient, thorough tutor when she wants to be.

"Hm. You know, you're actually a very skilled tutor. Have you thought of doing this more often?"

"I did. I think," Delia says. She thinks for a few seconds. "Yeah. The university made me teach my own classes for a while. I hated it. Apparently students did, too, because they stopped making me do it. And yelled at me a lot. Tutoring people when I want is fine. But I don't wanna be at someone's beck and call. I never know when I might have inspiration."

"Hm. I guess that's a good point. You didn't seem to recognize me at first, earlier. Do you have trouble remembering things?"

"Not really. I have this notebook. It makes remembering really easy." Delia pats her chest pocket with that black notebook inside it.

Delia is silent for a minute. A long minute. A minute that seems to be dragging out into several minutes. She looks... concerned.

Delia shifts uncomfortably. "W-well... Well, if I simply lost them, it... would be a problem. That's one thing. But if someone doctored my notes..." She thinks for a moment, then shakes her head. "N-no, I... can at least recognize my own handwriting. Probably."

"It's not that easy to forge someone's handwriting, y'know. I mean, a professional handwriting analyst could probably do it? But I can't imagine anyone like that would be so interested in my research they'd go that far. Maybe my aunt or someone could, but I don't see why they ever would..."
