Midtown

Cyrus gets their orders and hands them their food n stuff. Then he waits by the bar, doing his job and checking the clock every once in a while. He wants to make sure they aren't late. When it's time, he'll walk over and drag Francis off without saying anything.

Kayla

You look into the dumpster. Tana calls out to you. "Hey, don't mess with that. Let our guys deal with it."

One of the detectives gets around to digging through the dumpster and pulling out a few things. Nothing really stands out. It all looks like stuff you'd expect to find in a mechanic shop's trash. Lots of food waste, a few broken and used parts. The detective gives a disappointed groan. It was worth a shot.

You've probably got time to check a bit more before you need to head to the meeting.


Cyrus and Francis

Francis and Dirk enjoy a meal and chatting for about an hour before Cyrus grabs her. Francis apologizes.

"Oh, uh... it's fine. We can do this again sometime, I guess?" Dirk calls after Francis as she's forcefully removed.

The two mount up their cycles and head over towards the University.

Move to Outskirts.

Kayla

"Yes." Tana points to a few different cameras. "They aren't the best quality and our tech guys are already reporting several blocks of time when they 'mysteriously' shut off, but hopefully we can at least mail down a time for the vehicle's arrival and departure."

Kayla

You search for the guy from the restaurant among the employees. Most if them are keeping their heads down and going about their business while ignoring the cops as best they can.

No luck. Maybe he's hiding somewhere, or maybe he slipped out?

Kayla's idea roll: 74/75 - success

You ask around if anyone went home early today. Turns out several members of the staff worked the morning and went home not long ago. The timing matches up. Looks like the guy stopped for dinner right after work.

Wait...

I didn't?

Yeah, I'll show the picture to Tana and the other officers.

"He looked at me like he knew me, he seemed... Scared of me?

As I said, never saw him before.

The only thing I'm suspecting him of right now is being a weirdo though.

I don't think him looking at me weird is any kind of evidence right?

And the Manager. He's quick to protect one of his own and then put one down the drain. That's not the behavior of a good guy."

You suggest interrogating those two in particular.  Tana shakes her head.  "I don't think he was being serious, but we're going to ask the manager a few questions, at least.  Oh, hey!  Didn't you have that... thing you were doing tonight?  Whatever it was?  I remember it seemed important.  You should probably get moving!  I'll send you the highlights of the report tomorrow afternoon."
