Tana walks in. "Hey, Kayla. So... First of all, I've got an update on that gun. Forensics found that it was recently fired at least five times - out of six rounds. They estimate it was about a week ago."
She pauses, switching to a different report. "As for that garage... We found evidence that the camera footage had been doctored. They're trying to cover something up. We didn't think we were going to get anything, but we managed to find something they missed. We got a single picture of a white van with big slash marks across the door. That sound like what you're looking for?"
She slams a picture on the table. It's exactly what she said, though you notice there's also either blood or rust on the edges of the marks...

"About the gun... Is it one week before I gave it to you or does it correspond with the day before I gave it to you?
Now... The van... Looks like the one in my picture.
I assume we don't have any way to find it?"
(Damn... If it was attacked by some creature, it must have come accross the forest... That's where the kid might be... Nothing unusual happened last night though...
If I ask for a swipe of the forest, they might find the fairy village. I'd break my promise.
But surely if anyone came accross it, they have some magic thingamajig preventing people from finding it?
Whatever. I'll take a few fairy glares if it's to save a life.)

Could we organize a forest swipe?

"OK, let's... take this one at a time. It would be... 4 days before you gave me the gun.
"We've put out an APB on vans of that make, model, and color. We're also sending the picture out on tonight's news to ask for citizens to help.
"We already swept the forest.
"Bears are really rare in the forest, but they sometimes wander up. Nothing else local could have done that. The circus hasn't reported any animals missing.
"Did I miss anything?"
