Kayla, Francis, and CyrusYou all return out of the portal. You find yourselves back in Delia's office. Everything looks normal enough. Everyone tries to dismiss themselves, but she prevents you. She pulls Cyrus aside. "I guess I owe you one. So. Call me. You probably have my number. I guess. Run along, now." She lets you go. As for Kayla and Francis, she twists your arms into helping organize all the data she's collected. You end up learning quite a bit about theories of different worlds and whatnot, at least... Kayla's Fate with Delia increased to 2.Francis' Fate with Delia increased to 2.Cyrus' Fate with Delia increased to 3.Kayla's Occult skill increased by 10!
Kayla's Cthulhu Mythos score increased by 1!
Kayla lost 1 Sanity.

Iggy wakes up, and after having a light breakfast looks back over at the book.
I guess I should probably try that spell some more. If something like that Kobold comes after me I don't think a knife or a stick are going to be enough...
Try to learn the fire spell again. I don't suppose since I already spent last evening studying it there's any way to not have it take such a large chunk of the day again, is there?

Ignatius
Ignatius takes out the book from yesterday. His testing area is still set up, so he eats breakfast and starts going over the fire spell again.
Ignatius' INTx6 check: 30/90 - Success
Now that he has some better light, Ignatius is able to read a more clearly. It takes until lunch, but after re-reading the passage he realizes he'd misread a few lines. He corrects himself and tries again, reciting an incantation as he points towards the makeshift fire pit.
A fire bursts to life with a sudden, loud crackle. The flames dissipate almost immediately, but not before the kindling starts to burn. The fire grows much faster than Ignatius expected, but it seems to be under control.

Kayla
Almost immediately after arriving at the fairgrounds, you notice that the entire place is buzzing with activity. It looks like they're packing up a lot of gear. You remember the ringmaster mentioning they'd be doing a shows in neighboring towns on the weekend.
Everyone's too busy to notice you. You spot the ringmaster shouting directions from on top of a popcorn machine in that booming voice that she seems to be able to flip on and off. Her partner, the acrobat in white, is already dressed in her leotard. She seems a bit bored, sitting off from the others and balancing a binder on one leg as she flips through it. You also notice the magician who assisted with their grand finale drifting around. He seems to be stuck on inspection duty.

Kayla will just stand there and look at them, not in any stealthy way, she'll just wait for anyone to notice her.
She's on the lookout of any sign of any of them having wings like the fairy though.

Kayla just stands there. Almost no one seems to notice her. The few that do barely spare her a glance before going back to work.
None of them have wings.

Ignatius flinches at the sight of the kindling bursting into flames, then calms down and shovels some dirt onto the flames to put them out.
Well, I guess that's pretty good.
He takes out his book, looking back at the page with the image of his brand.
Still, sitting here learning magic isn't going to help me find out more about this mark. I doubt the pixie can read this either. I hate to say it, but I'm gonna need more help on this one...
Go to the library and head to the nearest computer.

You head over to the ringmaster. She keeps shouting orders, but you eventually manage to catch her attention. Her voice shifts from a loud shouting to a much more soft-spoken tone. "Huh? Did you need something? Our open observation... hour... things are during the week. Afternoons. Sorry, kinda busy."

Kayla will start heading into the forest, find a clearing somewhere inside it and install her tent there. (Unless the headmaster had something else to say)
