((Sorry this took so long. This isn't going to be at it's best.))
The pirates and the Crystal Pots walked up to the edge of the town assailed by the tentacles. They could see three huge tentacles, each with a chitinous hook on the end and glowing orange pustule just below that.
The pirates trekked towards the center of town, were the tentacles were grabbing random people and objects and tossing them away.
The tentacles noticed the pirates and began to throw them too.
The first pots jumped into the hole, exploding. The tentacles swooped low to grab them, but the rocks form the blast pierced the orange pustule, and it screeched in pain and retreated back to it's nether world.
Some of the pirates tried to jump into the hole the tentacles called home in an attempt to attack whatever they were attached to, they cried, "FOR BOOTY" and continued to scream their battle cry as they fell into nothingness. Other pirates decided to try shooting the orange pustule. After taking a continues barrage of bullets, it burst, and the middle tentacle retreated into the ground, leaving the chitinous hook behind.
The final tentacle was continuously trying to grab the Crystal Pots and throw them as they were trying to jump into the hole and collapse it. Every time it tried to throw the pots, they would explode. After a bit, one pot hit it at just the right spot and the Pustule on the last tentacle burst, and it retreated.
