I probably didn't explain that too well, so feel free to ask questions. Basically, you won't get gold for clearing quests, but you get gold for clearing dungeons and finding the treasure at the end. You can also find equipment and such in dungeons too. It sounds weird, but dungeons have your rewards in them and quests are used more for plot progression in a way.
