The small port village of Losean is right by the water's edge. There's not a lot here aside from a small tavern and a port along with a few houses, but today a new story begins in this town. A small group of new and hopeful people will begin their journey to a new and growing village for their own various reasons. Speaking of which, they are arriving right this moment. On a small ship piloted by a female sailor, they reach the port village and make their way off the ship. Finally. This marks the nearing of the end of their long journey toward their new home. However, it's not over just yet. They still have to make a short trip through the forest to their new home.
"Port Losean! Any and all that are getting off here, this is your stop!" The sailor calls out as you make your way down the pier to the village. As you make your way down through the town, you notice a young woman standing close to the center as she waves to you.
"Hey, are you here for the new village? Great. We were just all getting together before we set out. Safety in numbers and all that, right? I heard that there have been a lot more monsters around recently too. If we run into any Goblins along the way, I'm sure we'll have better chances together."
Adventurer's Note: These little notes will appear when something important happens and you need explanation! Some say they are the guidance of the gods while others say a helpful adventurer left them around for us to find. The true answer? Who knows? Just remember what whenever you see something underlined it's an adventurer's note. If you ever want to turn off Adventurer's Notes, simply go to the Sign Ups thread and tell Just!
Bold Letters: When you're talking to people, sometimes they will say something important relating to a quest or something you should pay careful attention to. These will appear in bold letters. If you ever want to turn off the bold letters, simply go to the Sign Ups thread and tell Just!
The woman holds out her hand for a quick shake from you and you get a better look at her. The first thing you notice are her clothes. They're rather plain. You suspect that they're likely some simple villager clothes. Just brown and white simple clothing that stays rather basic in design. She keeps what looks like a small sack to hold items in tied to the waist of her pants and her boots looks kind of muddy. She must have walked all the way here. She also has a knife sheathed on the other side of her hip. Likely used for self defense against the monsters. Her hair is cut about an inch above shoulder length and her eyes are two different colors. One purple and the other green. "My name is Leanne by the way. You can think of me as...something of a Guide."
Leanne looks around a bit before turning back to you. "Feel free to look around for a short moment and gather yourself. Once we head out, we aren't going to be coming back here, so make sure you have everything with you before we leave. Speak to me when you're ready to go."
You take a quick look around the area. It's a little peaceful. You can see the villagers speaking with each other as they go about their work. A fishmonger seems to be selling some of his wares. Luckily for you, you managed to bring 100 Gold! If you'd like, you can buy one of his Dried Fish. A snack for the road. The tavern is here as well, so getting a drink before heading out might not be a bad idea. If you ever get thirsty, you might need it. Aside from those, you notice the female sailor from before seems to be off her ship and taking a quick break, relaxing before she has to go back out to sea. There's also what looks like a short, humanoid frog. He seems a bit lost.

Heather will approach the fishmonger. "Excuse me, sir. How much for one of your fish?"

Oiya shrugs and gets ready to go, but Barfy runs off. He yips, then sits down in front of the frog and starts panting heavily, occasionally mixing in a bark. Oiya heads over and pats him on the head. "Sorry," she says in a deep voice.

Buy one dried fish, then politely bow and thank the shopkeeper.

Oiya
The frog seems surprised. "Down, down! Ah, wait, he doesn't appear to be trying to eat me. Thank the gods..." He then turns to Oiya. "You must be this dog's owner, correct? Interesting. I don't mean to be rude, but could you perhaps point me in the right direction for the group headed to that new village? It appears I have gotten lost. I never did spend much time outside in the rural areas."

Heather
"Ay, lass! That be a smart decision ye made." The fishmonger hands Heather a Dried Fish in exchange for 30 Gold. When she thanks him, he gives a hearty laugh. "I should be thankin' ye, lass! Without payin' customers, I go outta business! I gotta get paid te live, ya? Gettin' money ain't easy these days!" He lets out another laugh. "Ye said yer name was Heather? I'll be rememberin' that one if I ever see ye again. If ye ever need fish, jus' call ol' Jason. I'll be right 'ere."

Oiya raises a hand and wordlessly points to Leanne, then heads over to wait with her. "I'm ready when the others are."
Barfy waits quietly at her side.

Oiya
"Ah, thank you." The frog hops over with you to Leanne. "You must be the one leading the group over to the new village?"
She smiles at him, placing her hands on her hips. "Yep, that's me!"
"Pleased to make your acquaintance. You may call me Talys." He bows to her. This frog guy seems a bit formal. Actually, you do notice what looks like a crown on his head. Although that crown is a bit too large. However, doubting it's genuineness seems almost out of the question. The gold it's made from is quite shiny. The frog himself wears some nicer clothes than you'd expect. It seems he was prepared for adventuring. He wears a green tunic with gold trim and white leggings. He also seems to be wearing black boots that are a bit large for his little frog legs. Although mobility doesn't seem to be a problem since he just hops everywhere. He also wears a red and white cape with a crown symbol on it. He carries a knife attached to the belt of his tunic and has a small bag that he wears over one shoulder, likely containing supplies. "It looks like we will be adventuring together, so I would like to give you the best first impression I can."
Talys has joined the party!
Recruitment: Sometimes you can recruit NPCs that you meet and have them join your adventuring party. This is the best way to get new adventurers in your village, which can help it grow. If you meet someone with adventuring potential, it might be a good idea to ask them to join with you. However, if you do not want or need new party members, you can simply not ask them to join you.
NPC Interactions: Sometimes when you speak and interact with NPCs, the world will change a bit. This can be anything from the town being affected differently to your name becoming better known. Sometimes it will even open the way for new villagers and shops to move to your village!

---Kali---
Kali flies off the boat, followed by her trusty boar named Hiloka. She giggles, while circling around many people, looking at them thoroughly. As a fisherman is mentioned, she flies off to find him. Her voice and attitude making it clear she has some notions in trading, she asks:
"My hello gentleman! I am interested in one of your fish, but I was also wondering if a fisherman like you had any spare rod to sell."
Hiloka seems to approach the fish bucket, but he backs away as Kali glares at him.
---Boreas---
Boreas slowly walks off the ship, clearly listening to Leanne. He could pass off as intimidating, but clearly this woman sees him as an adventurer like any other. A nice change of pace he thinks.
"Leanne has purpose for Boreas Deadlog?" (Note: Boreas talks really slowly.)

Heather states that she'll be sure to remember that, then goes back to the ship, ready to go.

Heather
you gather with the others and wait for a bit as everyone finishes their preparations.
Kali
Jason looks at you and shakes his head. "Sorry, lass. I only got so many of 'em, I can't afford te sell 'em. But maybe if ye gather up some wood and string, ye can make yer own fishin' rod." He then looks to Hiloka. "Sorry 'bout that, big guy, but I can't be givin' away free fish left an' right. If ye want some, ye need to pay."
Boreas
Leanne looks up at Boreas. "Yep. You're here for the village, right? Just hang out here for a bit and we'll head out in a minute. Some of the others are still getting ready before we set out."

Amanda just casually strolling off the ship. Her loyal pet cat Pete perched on her shoulders and he lets out a Meow as he yawns.
Amanda: Well Pete look like we arrived here in town.
Pete: Meow
Amanda: Oh come on its a chance for a new start.
Pete: Meow
Pete catches a wift of something interesting and takes off towards the source.
Amanda: Pete get back here you crazy kitty. Don't go running off in strange new towns.
Amanda runs off towards Pete and sees that he's meowing at a fisherman.
Amanda: Sorry Sir he's never like this.
Mercedes
Mercedes stretches as she gently flies off the ship.
Mercedes: Well this is certainly different from the palace. Mercedes will go ahead and look around town for anything of interest

Amanda
He laughs. "No worries, lass. Care to buy a fish fer yer little friend there?"
Mercedes
You look around the town a bit. It seems like there's not much else to see here. Those that are preparing to set out for the village are gathering around. It seems like they'll be leaving soon. Aside from them, you see a fishmonger and a tavern. Both of which are places where you could buy something to eat or drink on the road to the village. The sailor of the ship is also waiting around as well. However, she seems like she's about to get ready to head back out to sea.
