(Just so you know, I'm going to start the boss fight, but I'm going to wait for Malefio to control Kali in it. Since, you know, if he dies from a fight he didn't volunteer to be in and loses his staff that literally cannot be replaced, that would suck.)
The party decides to venture into the corruption, moving through as they notice the plants covered in the shadowy stuff. The air of the place is almost sinister. As they continue through, they suddenly hear the roar of something before a loud crash comes from behind. Leanne shouts to the others. "It's an enemy ambush!"
Corrupted Griffin ambushes the party! Corrupted Griffin casts Wingblast! The Corrupted Griffin swings its massive wings, causing a powerful blast of wind to hit the entire party! Barfy receives 6 damage! Kali receives 2 damage! Heather receives 3 damage! Leanne notices the incoming attack and rolls out of the way, just in time!

Barfy defends. Leanne runs forward, swinging her knife into the Griffin twice before performing a backflip back into formation. The Corrupted Griffin receives 1 + 1 damage. Heather then casts Heal as a soothing light surrounds Barfy, restoring 6 health. Kali begins casting a spell, causing a beam of water to fly out from her staff and hit the Corrupted Griffin! Corrupted Griffin receives 7 damage! The Corrupted Griffin flies up into the air, out of reach...
"I think it's preparing an attack!"

Heather, Kali, Barfy, and Leanne defend. The Corrupted Griffin then drops down from above, diving into Heather. Heather receives 1 damage. The Griffin's wings then spread out, hitting Kali and Leanne too! Kali receives 8 damage! Leanne receives 2 damage!
