You enter through the portal to the second game in the Gates series. There's a bunch of people standing around here. And they're all arguing about something trivial. You look around among the crowds of people and see what looks like a large screen. Above it is the name "Running Dogs". You can see a weird team of adventurers including a pirate, a shy guy, a mage, and some other people on the screen. It seems like all of the arguing is making them perform stupid and cowardly actions. Probably where the name comes from.
Anyway, looking around these huge crowds of people, you notice that it's kind of turmoil here. Everyone is posting before you can say anything.

The Elevator Heroes, huh? I think they only started being called Running Dogs by the Free Thinkers around the time Cemetary Gates started. See if there's currently an Away Team. If there is, ask what they saw when the door opened and what squad was sent. Search out the following individuals in terms of priority or availability: Professor Francois Sycamore, Hermione Granger, Sora, Superman, Donatello, Jimmy the Bard, and That Young Yoshi Kid. This will help me determine where in the timeline of the game we are. |

You attempt to punch one of the people in the room, but they post before you in a special style of battle we call "ninja'd". This makes your response to them practically useless as the conversation has already moved on past you and the validity of your punch. Your one true weakness...

You begin to ask around, seeing if you can find specific members of the elevator team. However, as you do so, you begin to realize that these are actually the players giving instructions to the team. Interesting. You discover that currently, the team is caught up in a bar fight led by Jack Sparrow as he sings about having a jar of dirt. An arrow was just blocked by a mug being swung around by one of the patrons of the bar. Many people seem surprised and confused at the fact this is actually working. Apparently, this plan was made up by some annoying kid that argues with everyone and thinks he knows everything.

If it's the players, then what's important is to change the timeline! Let them know to keep Ike far away from the Unown, don't let Young Yoshi perform in the Royal Rumble, and make sure Richter Belmont understands that the monsters in Boo! Haunted House kill on touch. This should get the attention of someone, anyone. Then we can ask the players themselves if they've seen anything out of the ordinary.
