Somnis picks up the cute Imp Plush and finds it perfect.
It's still cute, but nobody will question it since it's a demon. It's both the perfect mix of tough and cute!
She buys the plush at the store and happily continues on her way, noticing it got dark while she was out buying presents.
Night
As Somnis walks on her way home, taking a shortcut through the park, she hears someone crying in the rain. "Huh...?" There's a girl sitting on a bench with tears running down her face. She's staring at the ground.
Mattea, Demon King's Daughter
Her long, red hair is kept up in a ponytail that brings it to stop at her shoulders. She has brown eyes, which you're surprised you can see through both the tears and rainwater. She's wearing what appears to be rather fashionable clothes. A skirt paired with a cute jacket and top along with nice shoes. She's also got a purse sitting next to her.
"Hey, are you okay?"
She sniffs and looks up, wiping some tears from her face. "Um...I don't think so..."
"What's wrong?" Somnis sits down next to her and places a hand on her shoulder.
"I d-don't know if I should really be talking about it with a stranger..." She wipes away more tears with her sleeve.
Somnis holds her umbrella so that the girl is sheltered from the rain and Somnis will get wet instead. "You seem like you need someone to talk to."
"Well...my friends all got in a big fight, but they won't see what's really important right in front of them. If they keep fighting, someone will get hurt. And then there's something with my father. And I failed that math test last week. And it just...it feels like everything is just going wrong." She begins crying again.
"It's alright. Things might seem bad now, but I promise they will get better."
"You think so...?" She sniffles again.
"Yeah, of course they will. You just can't give up hope. If you give up now, they'll never get better."
"I don't know...sometimes I wonder why I still try so hard..."
"Here, I found this earlier. I think it might belong to you."

Somnis hands her the heart locket with the picture inside.
"...?" Mattea opens it up and sees the picture of herself with her father. "...This is...Thank you. I don't know how you found it. But...this means a lot to me. It was the last thing my dad gave me before he disappeared. I know he wouldn't want me to give up either..." She holds it tightly in her hand and wipes away the tears for good this time. "I'm feeling a little better now. Thank you, um...what was your name again?"
"My name is Somnis."
"Thank you, Somnis. I won't forget your kindness today..."
"Do you need me to help you get home or are you alright?"
"I'll be okay. Thanks. I can get a little wet. My hair's probably already ruined and my makeup is probably a disaster anyways. Thanks though. I'll see you around, I guess." Somnis waves as Mattea runs off in the rain. She then realizes what time it is.
"Ah, I better get home."
Sunday, October 2nd Rainy
Somnis wakes up in the morning, feeling well rested. It's raining again today too. It sure has been raining a lot recently. It looks like she's free to do what she wants today.

Somnis decides to apply for a job as the milkman because...apparently that is still a job that people can do. It seems just weird enough yet just simple enough that it would be perfect. She takes Dogachu with her and runs off to her new job. Once she gets there, the people in charge immediately hire her since nobody else wanted to work for them for whatever reason.
Your Diligence has increased by 1!
Somnis finishes work for this morning and realizes it is now the afternoon. She still has nothing better to do right now.

"Alright. I'll see you at the park."
"See you."
Somnis heads out to the park and waits underneath a little gazebo. As she waits there, Lisa comes up and walks over to her. "Hey, it's nice to see you."
"Nice to see you too."
"So...This is nice. We just get to watch the rain together?"
"Yeah. It's uh...it's nice, right?" Somnis shivers slightly.
"You look cold." Lisa takes off her jacket and gives it to Somnis.
"Oh...thank you." Somnis looks out and then leans her head on Lisa's shoulder. "Here, I'll keep you warm too. Let's stay close together."
"...We should do this more often."
"Yeah." Somnis looks at Lisa for a moment.
"What is it...?"
A.) "I was just looking at you. You look pretty with the water in your hair."
B.) "...Maybe we should break up."
C.) "You're acting like something's wrong. What is it?"

"...Maybe we should quit the other world stuff."

"This is dangerous. And I'm scared. What if I can't save you during a battle? What if I fail? You have to stay here. Where it's safe. I'll stay with you."
"Lisa...you know that's not possible. We've already come this far and...well, we've burned some bridges that we can't go back on."
"What do you mean?"
"I...kidnapped someone."
"You what?"
"I kidnapped Lance and brought him to the other world to keep him safe. I didn't have another choice. If I didn't do something, he would have died. We're...stuck with the other world. We've been dragged into something bigger than ourselves now. There's murdering and kidnapping and...the guardians and just..."
"...So we have even more reason to run away, don't we?"
"Lisa..."

"...You really think we can do this?"
"I know we can do this. We're the perfect team."
"...Somnis. I...don't know what to say."
"You don't have to say anything. You just have to hold me now and enjoy this moment in the rain."
"Alright. I'll do that..." Lisa holds Somnis close in her arms and the two enjoy the rain together.
Somnis and Lisa reach relationship rank 8!
Night
The sky begins to darken as night falls. Somnis checks her watch. It's late. "Hey, Lisa, you should head home. It's supposed to storm a little harder later tonight."
"Hm...? Oh, yeah, I guess so. I'll see you tomorrow, Somnis."
"Bye. Get home safely." Somnis looks around and gets her umbrella out, walking into the rain. It starts to rain a little bit heavier than usual. The wind blows harder and lightning strikes in the distance.
As Somnis continues walking along, her umbrella is blown out of her hands. A car on the street then drives past and smashes it to pieces while splashing water all over Somnis. "AGH BLECH! RUDE." She continues walking along until she hears something coming from the dark alleyways.
"Please give it back...that's all the money I have..." Somnis approaches closer, slowly.
"If you didn't want to lose it, don't walk around with it at night."
"But..."
"It's mine now." Somnis can hear crying.
"Hey, are you messing with this kid?"
"Eh? Who're you?"
"The name's Zack. And I'm gonna kick your ass if you don't drop that kid's money and get out of here."
"You don't scare-" Somnis hears the sound of someone getting punched in the face. "BWAH!"
"You want another or are you gonna give me the damn money?"
"Fine, fine! Take it! It's not worth it anymore anyway." Somnis hears quick footsteps in the opposite direction.
"...Thank you, big dude. You saved my money."
"Forget about it, kid. Stop walking around dark alleyways. It's dangerous. Especially at night. Now go on home before something else happens."
"Okay, bye!" A child runs past Somnis excitedly. She slowly heads into the back alleyway and notices someone standing there.
Zack, The Big Dude
He's very tall. And intimidating. He's also slouching slightly. Somnis notices he's wearing a baseball cap that covers his eyes slightly with some black hair showing out of it here and there. He wears a long coat along with dark colored clothes as well. His face is blank of expression at the moment, but Somnis swears she could see him smiling just a second ago.
"Hm? Who are you?" He looks over at her as she walks in.
A.) Punch him in the face
B.) "YOU'RE THAT ******* THAT TRIED TO KILL LANCE!" Punch him in the face
C.) Slap him
D.) "You helped that child..."
E.) "You're a very confusing and complicated person, aren't you?"

"That's good."
"...You're weird."
"Yup."
"...Did you actually want something, or can I leave now?"
"You're upset about something."
"That's stupid."
"Nope, I can tell. Something's up."
"I don't care about a bunch of idiots and their problems, okay!?"
"You just admitted that you did."
He takes a deep breath and holds one hand to his head. "Fine. Whatever. But I'm not dealing with a bunch of kids that can't tell what they're doing."
"Maybe...because you're afraid of losing them?"
"That's also stupid."
A.) "NO, YOU'RE STUPID!" Attempt to shoot lightning out of your hands at him
B.) "I was wrong. You're an *******." Slap him
C.) "You're SO tsundere. That's really hot."
D.) "Somebody's mad I know what they're thinking~"
E.) "Here, this is important to you, isn't it?" Hand him the Coloring Book

"This is important to you, isn't it?" Somnis hands the Coloring Book over to Zack.
"...!?" He takes it from Somnis and flips through a few pages. "How...!?"
"Someone told me to give it to you. I don't know who they were, but they said it was important to you."
"...This book used to belong to my little sister." He turns away from Somnis before looking over his shoulder. "Alright. That's enough. Don't go snooping into other people's business when you aren't wanted there."
"Did something happen to her?"
"..." He looks down for a moment. He then looks back over his shoulder at Somnis. "It's none of your business. Nobody can know what happened to her. But it is my fault..."
"You're scared the same thing might happen, aren't you?"
"...Maybe. He lowers the hat to completely cover his face while looking at the ground.
"...But you can't give up. They're in more danger without you than they were before. You need to stand up for those you care about. Especially when they aren't strong enough to stand on their own."
"...I don't know who you are, but I hate you. Thanks." He begins to slowly walk away.
"That thanks sounded honest to me~"
"Yeah, whatever, kid. Don't get hit by anything on your way home."
Somnis smiles to herself, knowing she did the right thing. As she walks along, she notices something shine in a puddle on the ground. Another mysterious piece to something. She picks it up and places it in her pocket before moving onward.

Monday, October 3rd Sunny
Somnis wakes up with a big yawn. She realizes that she's actually delivered every one of those letters today. Nice! It's a Monday, so that means there's school today. She gets dressed and heads off to school, ready to start a new day.
As Somnis sits down for one of her classes, a new kid walks into the classroom. It looks like he just recently moved here. The teacher introduces him as Tai.
Tai, The New Kid
Dark Black hair, Pale Skin, Red Eyes, Slightly Athletic Build, Height 5'9, Wears a Black hoodie with Blood Aspect symbol on it, Dark Blue Jeans slightly ripped near the top on both legs, generally black ankle socks, and black sneakers with a red lightning bolt on the outter side of both.
Somnis stares at him for a moment before he takes a seat and the class begins. She leans on one hand and starts to fall asleep, becoming quickly bored with the history class.
Afternoon
Somnis stands up and gives a big stretch. Alright! Now that classes are over, maybe she can actually do something fun. Let's see...what to do today? Hm? Auditions for the musical? Hmm...

Somnis decides to head off to the music club today. Some singing practice with Avalon should be fun. She practices singing with her the whole afternoon, learning new techniques.

After singing with Avalon, Somnis waves to her and says goodbye, leaving the auditorium. It seems like it got late pretty fast.
Night
Somnis heads home and takes some time to relax, checking her phone for any new messages. Nothing new. Looks like auditions for that school musical end on Wednesday, so she should join by that time if she wants to. But Somnis is still undecided. She only recently got into singing. Dogachu hops up on the couch with her and walks in a circle before flopping down next to her. His tail is wagging and he's staring at her.

Somnis decides to call Avalon to hang out, but realizes...she doesn't actually have her phone number.
"Oh. Hmm..." Somnis scrolls through her contacts and sees Raine. "Ah ha!" She texts Raine, asking for Freya's phone number. It takes a little while. She must be busy. Raine does eventually text back though.
From Raine: Sure! Here's her phone number. :)
Somnis then calls up Freya and asks to hang out.
"Huh? Oh, Somnis? Your timing is perfect! I have more flowers to deliver to mom tonight and Raine is having a party with her friends. Come on over and we can bring them to her together."
"Sounds like fun!" Somnis hangs up and heads out.
The two talk as they walk along, carrying the flowers over to the hospital. Once they reach the room that Freya's mom is in, Somnis helps place the flowers at her table. "So Raine grows all of these herself?"
"Yeah, she's an amazing gardener. I swear, she can make anything grow if she tries." Freya then looks over at her mom and sighs. "Mom loves these flowers and Raine tries her best every single day to grow them. She hopes that if she grows enough, mom will come home to see them." Freya frowns. "Her condition has only been getting worse with every day. She's awake less often every time we come. It's hard to tell since she smiles a lot, but Raine is really affected by it..."
A.) "You seem really concerned about Raine."
B.) "You seem really concerned about your mom."
C.) "What happened to your dad?"
D.) "How do you even LIVE with your mom in the hospital? Don't you need things like money to survive?"
E.) "You know, Raine probably isn't the only one affected by this. It's okay to cry sometimes, Freya."

"..." Freya is silent for a while before you notice a few tears coming from her eyes. "Mom might not be coming back...Somnis...Even I'm starting to lose hope. What do I do...?" She seems to be trying to fight the tears back.
Somnis gives her a hug and holds her close, causing Freya to start openly crying.
"I'm scared, Somnis...what are we supposed to do without a mom? Dad left us years ago and now it's just me and Raine. What am I supposed to tell her...? When mom dies? When I can't put food on the table for us...? When we're living on the streets...? We'll have nothing left..." She continues to cry on Somnis' shoulder.
"That's not true. You'll always have each other. And the memories of your mother." Somnis steps back while still holding Freya. She looks at her in the eyes. "Freya...you can't give up hope so easily. Your mother is still fighting against that illness. She isn't giving up. Neither should we. As long as we have hope, we have a way forward. Never forget that. I'm always here for you. And so is your sister."
Freya smiles a bit with a few tears still running down her face. "...You're right, Somnis. Mom's still there. I can't give up on her yet. Not me and not Raine. Both of us have to do our best."
"That's the spirit. We'll make it through this together." Somnis smiles back.
The light within your heart has spread to another. Somnis and Freya achieve relationship rank 2!
Both Somnis and Freya spend some time together. They're silent, but the comfortable kind. Once it starts to get late, Somnis heads home.

Morning
Somnis wakes up early and heads off to school, humming a little song to herself. Her classes move along as usual with nothing particularly interesting happening. That is, until, lunch time comes around.
She's approached by Raine before entering the lunch room to go talk to Lisa. "Hey, um...Somnis. Can you come sit with me today...? I have something special to show you and...I want to talk too..."
A.) "No thanks!"
B.) "Sure, let's go."
C.) "Tell me what it is first."
D.) "But my waifu is waiting for me."
E.) "That sounds not sketchy at all! Let's go."

"That sounds not sketchy at all! Let's go." Somnis starts to walk with Raine, but then pauses. "Oh, can I bring Lisa with me?"
"Umm...I guess so..."
Somnis runs in the lunch room and then drags Lisa out, carrying her into the hall. "Let's goooo! We're going to a super secret place to do something super secret."
Lisa looks at Somnis for a moment before responding. "You realize that is probably the sketchiest thing ever, right? You literally know nothing about what's going to happen."
"It'll be fiiiiinnnne. Besides, if it IS something bad, I have you to protect me." Somnis gives Lisa her cute face and stares at her.
"I hate it when you give me the cute face..." Lisa sighs. "Alright, fine. Let's go. But if anything happens, I told you so."
"Yaaaayyyy!"
Raine leads Somnis and Lisa over to a secret garden area close to the school. Various flowers are planted here and are growing all over the place. They head over to a little picnic table that sits underneath a small shelter to protect from the rain. Hmm. Julia and Tom are sitting there. They must be a part of this too. "Um...so, this is Lisa." Raine points to Lisa. "And this is Somnis." She then points to Somnis. "So...yeah..."
"You're Tom and Julia, right? I saw you at that assembly on the first day of school."
Tom thinks for a moment. "Oh yeah...you were that weirdo. Bareru-Chan or something."
"Yeah! So, what's up?"
