Sorry for the delay, I almost forgot about this. Anyways in case you missed the topic explaining this idea, Scrapyard Stories is basically a topic to share ideas and characters that were never used - scrapped, if you will. Whether the game in question never happened in the first place, was cancelled before you had a chance, or even ideas that were either changed beyond recognition or considered too ridiculous to work. To start this off, let's talk about some bosses from games that I was too lazy to make, shall we? Most of these don't have names since that's usually one of the last Hingis I come up with for a character, so bear with me.
The Reaper's Game (based on The World Ends With You) was one of the first times I came up with an idea for a boss that made me want to create a game. For those who haven't played TWEWY, the basic premise is that characters go through a week's worth of missions to compete for a second chance at life following their untimely demise, culminating in a battle against the Game Master (a designated Reaper with the power to transform into a monstrous form based on an animal, and the one providing the missions), which tend to have some sort of weird quirk. The idea I had was a self-professed comedian whose dialogue is laced with bad jokes and obnoxious laughter. His Noise Form (the aforementioned transformation) would have been Hyena themed, with him creating clones of himself to swarm the players while spouting one-liners as painful as his attacks. I also had an idea for a boss later in the game based off a Praying Mantis, but that one never really got off the ground.
I also had two ideas for bosses in a science-fiction game set in a dystopian future where players would have joined the resistance and fought off enemies using stolen Teksuits, essentially Power Armor with the ability to shift between modes (more or less classes) freely midbattle. One of these ideas was a military enforcer with the same abilities as the players as well as the reason the players started out so weak: said character would have wiped the floor with the party before they had a chance to learn how to use their Teksuits and left the suits almost completely nonfunctional. The other idea was a bit more quirky, with the character being a dancer fought in a nightclub using a setting on his Teksuit that would allow him to launch energy blasts from his hands and feet. His fight would have included a lot of dancing around player attacks, headspinning while firing off in every direction, and bouncing attacks off of a disco ball.
I've got an unused attack to share as well (I never really settled on a boss in particular to use it), but given that explaining Calamity Shift might take a post in and of itself I'll save that for some time in the future.
