Aye Matey, here it the Gate of Yarr.
In this game, captains travel the seven seas on their magnificent ships, crossing the seven seas in search of anything to loot. Order your crew around to win ship battles!
Story
Your story is simple sea dog, you travel the seas, other ships travel the sea too. You want to steal their loot, they want to steal yours. Oh, there's also a lot of rumors about creatures in the sea, you should be careful... In case they are true.
Confrontation
Listen up mate: when two ships meet at see, you enter Confrontation Mode. This is the bulk of the game.
The most common options you can take are attacking the enemy ship with your ship or boarding it. In these cases, you have to give orders to your crew. These orders will determine how well the battle goes. When you board an enemy ship or you are boarded yourself, you must keep the orders coming, while you fight the enemy captain. Captains are full of pride you see, they don't have time to waste with goons. Everyone knows the code of honor of captains!
There's other options though. You can always try diplomacy, boarding the enemy ship stealthily, etc.
However you deal with Confrontations, you win when you steal the enemy's treasure chest, taking their Arena Coins. You lose if they take yours.
More on Orders
Every captain has a crew. Don't forget that everyone can be useful during a crisis. Your ship not only has weapons to be manned, but you can give orders related to anything on the ship, including ship maneuvers, lookout duties, storage duty, etc. Many roles can be taken by your crew. If you can think of the order, they will obey it.
Ship Upgrading
Every ships starts with a cannon on each side and an ordinary sail. Whatever thingamajig you want to add to your ship will cost 5 Arena Coins.
Captain Battle
As discussed earlier, Captains only fight Captains. When they clash together, they use their weapons and physical skills to win. No human in this game has any magic powers or supernatural ability. If you earn physical skills in another Gate, you can also use them here.
Inventory
Your inventory can of course be used in this game. You can use 3 items per confrontation. 1 of them will become a Ship's attachment, 1 of them will be duplicated and used by all crew members and the last one will be equipped by you. The 3 items you choose reset after every confrontation.
Sign-Up Sheet
Ship Description: (Purely aesthetic)
Fighting Style: (How you fight. These are basically your skills. Since you pick a fighting style instead of specific skills, there's a lot of freedom to how you can fight)
That is literally the only things you need to fill in order to sign-up. Signing-up costs 3 Arena Coins.
