You plan on going onto one of the watchtowers, but as soon as the last member of your party walks onto the boardwalks, you can hear all the doors get barred off. Enemies appear on top of each watchtower.
On the closest watchtower, a Green Bokoblin with a scimitar appears.
On the second and third watchtower, some kind of floating eyes appear. The appendage under them looks similar to a long tentacle.
The furthest watchtower is now home to a Green Bokoblin with a bow.
The boardwalk are not straight, so unless you want to go swimming, it won't be a fast walk to get from one watchtower to the other.

Shoot a Shock Arrow at the Archer, they're the only one with a ranged weapon.

As you place your arrow in your bow, the twin puts themselves in front of you to protect you. Vaikau stays behind for now. As your target is far away, you have to take the time to aim and calculate the right angle. Because he's higher than you, the Bokoblin archer needs less time to prepare and sends his arrow flying before you do. The short-haired twin jumps to intercept the arrow and takes the damage herself. You send your shock arrow flying after she's hit. You can see that the bow of the enemy is sent flying into the water. The weird eyes float down of their watchtowers, but they're not reaching you for now. The scimitar-holding Bokoblin runs down his watchtower and engages the long-haired twin. The curve of the scimitar seems to give him advantage against the Sheikah's Naginata and the twin gets hit after the enemy blocked. Vaikau seems to get ready to join the fight now.

No, that's a statement from me followed by my next attack. I can't see a reason why Lazarus would know what Phantoms are, but it's still fair to say that he's genre savvy enough to know that floating eyeballs which appear to be scouting out the area are bad news even if he doesn't know about the OHKO monsters they can summon.

Lazarus changes target and shoots at the closest floating eye. It seems to stop when it's hit. Vaikau runs forward and blocks the Bokoblin's scimitar with his pitchfork, making it open to the twins. The Bokoblin archer dives into the water, probably to get his bow back... The second floating eye approaches, but it still haven't reached you.

You shoot the eye you already attacked, destroying it. The second eye reaches the party while Vaikau and the twins finish the Bokoblin off. The eye whips it's tentacle-like appendage and surrounds it around Vaikau. It floats away with the Zora. It seems to stay on ground level, following the boardwalk though.
"Woah! Woah! Woah! What is that thing doing with me?"
Four big suits of armor appear in the room. They seem to have some king of protective energy around them. They're all running towards Vaikau.
"I'm really not liking this..."
The Bokoblin archer jumps out of the water, bow in hand. The twins seem to argue, short-haired one talking first.
"We have to save him!"
"No way I'm endangering us by putting ourselves between those armors and him..."
"But... He helped us... Twice..."
"We don't know what's going to happen. We know how to deal with that Bokoblin though..."

Switch to my sword and throw it at the tentacle in an attempt to cut Vaikau free.

You throw your boomerang sword at the floating eye. It pushes it backwards and the armors disappear. Vaikau goes back on his feet. The eye seems stunned.
"Whew... That was scary..."
The twins notice the crisis is over, run to the eye and destroy it. Only the Bokoblin archer remains. He shoots an arrow at you from afar.

Being both on the same level of height, the Bokoblin and you shoot at the same time. You hit each other. But you stun him. Which makes it easy for the other 3 to pummel him.
As it disappears into a puff of smoke, Vaikau lets himself fall on the ground.
"Whew... That was scary."
The twins are staying on the defensive. Seems like there's nothing preventing you from reaching the door at the end of the boardwalk now.

You approach the door. That skull on it is quite creepy. The door opens in front of you, on it's own. Behind it is a room too dark to see inside it.
"Well... That looks promising."
The twins stay silent.
