2017 Death Gauntlet

The lights turn off as spolights brings the audience's attention towards the center of the arena. The floor opens up as a pretty ordinary wrestling ring rises up. Many holographic walls appear all over the ring.

A creepy laugh can be heard. A spherical entity wearing a purple gem as crown appears above the arena.

King Boo: "Hello everyone! I am King Boo, the master of illusion. While we are waiting for the true host, I will explain the arena to you!

First of all, the numbers are the entrance points. You will be given a number when you enter the ring.

Blue walls are tall and and you can't see through them. Grey walls are small and transparent and can be used as covers.

As you can see, there is a cube in the middle of the arena. Fighter 9 and 10 will start inside it. Once they exit it, the cube will close. Fighter 11 will start on top of of the cube.

Now, for the rules.

First of all, only two fighters can be left standing for this wave. If fighters try to bypass this rule, the one who threatens Vitcon will close the blackhole, meaning all of our worlds will stop to exist.

Second, going into the red zone means you are out of the ring. You will lose if you get a Ring Out, even if you are not KO'd.

Of course, if you get KO'd, you lose.

Finally... Well... There is no other rules. Have fun!"

King Boo disappears while laughing, the lights reopen. Seems like they are giving less than an hour for the fighters to analyze the arena, even though they won't know on which number they will start.

Saxton hale Analyzes the Map "I seen better" Arthur, who is sitting next to Hale, Starts thinking "Looks like the best Places to Start are either the Corners or on Top of the Cube Since those areas are pretty far away from everyone else"

Oblivion Sees the map and starts thinking of possible Tactics, something he never really did much of.

Fawful kinda of just shrugs at the notion. The witch with her witchy ways might have got the drop on the queen of ice and dragon mother.


Yet Fawful serves one whose fury beyond comparison to a simple fink rat. His fury shall consume those who shall cause him to have a case of the furies. I have chlortles at all who oppose him.

Yes the ball of puff that is of yellow like the color of mustard that will be doomed. My father and savior of Keeby. Yes even the witch in all her witchiness shall is nothing more then a magician who works the street

Now as for the other person I am here for. Early in the evening there was a match between me and the Pika of Chu. Since I am here sitting with you she won the match. Like a shell that is blue and the sweet taste of victory upon my lips. I was tasting the sandwich of victory. Yet at the last moment this Pika of Chu snatched the sandwich and instead gave me the tast of bitterness.

Yet just because I lost to her I am like hen mother full of the joy. The pika of chu despite her cute appearance os oozing of that sweet sweet fury. Don't look past her because of her apperence or size. Yes the Pixy of Chu os here to drown everyone in her Pikachus.

The lights go out again. The arena lights up. The spotlights shine on the audience, as a skeleton wearing a black hooded robe stands up.

Malefio: "Welcome everyone! It's been a while since a Death Gauntlet happen. Note that you are only here to entertain an evil witch by the name of Jargas. The people who will fight in the Gauntlets are fighting so your worlds can keep existing. Have no fear though. This might be a battle to the death, but I can bring any and all of you to life. Fight to your heart's content. Kill your opponent if you want to. If you hold back, you risk that the black hole where you came from be closed. The contestants of round 1 will now make their entrances.

The spotlights stop shining on the undead ice mage to light the entrance to the Arena.

---Spawn Point 1: Team Malefio---



From the entrance, a rather small silhouette makes his way towards the arena, on each side of him stand some singing jigglypuff and dancing clefairy. As it comes out of the shadow, the silhouette shows it's green colors: it is a Munchlax. Not any Munchlax though, he's wearing a cooking chef uniform and holding a frying pan in his hand. He's waving at the audience with a kind smile on his face. He takes position on the arena, while continuing to wave at the audience.

Malefio: "That's right everyone! I have recruited 3 entities to fight for me. To represent my team, we have Snorx, from the world of Pokemon Mystery Dungeon. He is a kind cook and part of a team of humans transformed into Pokemon explorers."

---Spawn Point 2: Team Blood---



The spotlights stop following the Munchlax and go back to illuminating the entrance. An individual with a human shape comes out, his entire body made of a black viscous liquid. A pair of luminous golden eyes filled with hatred glares at the audience. Escorting him to the arena are a bunch of creepy persons who could probably run into the audience and attack them at any time... Definitely a less cheerful entrance than the first contestant. The black entity takes place into the arena, looking at the Munchlax as if it was a prey.

Malefio: "Representing Team Bloodmancer, Blood for short, we have The Viper. It is this character's first time on Vitcon, so not much is known about him, other that he comes from the world of Vikarus Syndrome. We'll wish him good luck on his first appearance!"

---Spawn Point 3: Team Yoshi---



The creepy people are brought back inside as a cheerful music starts. The entrance is illuminated again as a swarm of Pichu comes out humming a song similar to "One Winged Angel" for some reasons... One of the electric mouse stands out from the swarm. She seems to be wearing a doctor outfit. She runs into the arena as the Pichu cheer for her.

Malefio: "Representing Team Yoshi, we have Pixy! She is a Pikachu doctor and a master of illusions. I remember her being really proud of her diploma! Let's hope it will help her in battle!"

---Spawn Point 4: Team Girl Power---



The Pichus disappear, to let some completely ordinary people come in, escorting an ordinary looking blonde girl. She hesitantly walks towards the arena as the persons accompanying her applaud her. She goes for her pocket and grabs what seems like a key. A detective outfit replaces her casual clothes and a magnum appears in her hands. She enter the arena and walks to her position, glancing at The Viper, whom clearly intimidates her.

Malefio: "Represting Team Girl Power, we have Julia Michaels from Vitcon High School. Don't be fooled, thank to her Soul Key, she is no ordinary girl. I am certain she can hold her own in this Gauntlet."

---Spawn Point 5: Team Ultra---



After two more cheerful entrances, the atmosphere becomes foreboding again. Spirits holding spectral scythes comes out of the entrance, circling around the arena. A lumbering dark suit of armor comes out of the darkness and silently walk to it's position as the spirits chase the ordinary people back into the entrance.

Malefio: "To represent Team Ultra, we have Oblivion. I am not sure if there's anything under that armor, but I've heard this entity is a powerful evil Note Beast. Contestants should be careful."

---Spawn Point 6: Team Metroid---



The next contestant seems to have no escort. Looks like another suit of armor, but this one is orange and has an arm cannon. It's also highly technological instead of medieval. The suit of armor confidently walks into the arena alone and takes position.

Malefio: "To represent Team Metroid, we have the one and only Samus Aran. I couldn't resist inviting entities from my favorite franchise of all time and who better to represent Metroid than the famous bounty hunter herself?"

---Spawn Point 7: Team Unknown---



The spolights go away from the arena just in time to shine on some individuals wearing bandanas with mocking jay symbols on them. These individuals are cheering for a bald man with a pronounced blue beard. Hie eyebrows are also blue. His expression is extremely serious. He his wearing a leather jacket and technological gloves. He also has a red cape with a big mocking jay symbol on it. He walks into position, carefully analyzing the contestants already inside the arena.

Malefio: "To represent Team Unknown, a collection of entities who never appeared on Vitcon, we have Blue Jay. He is the leader of a criminal institution from Glakos Island aiming at giving people with no semblance important positions, equal to people with semblance. I'm not sure what semblances are, but I think they are superpowers... I wonder if this guy has one of these "semblance".

---Spawn Point 8: Team Punk---



The henchmen of Blue Jay are replaced by various fighting Pokemon cheering... There's a lot of these creatures in this Gauntlet... The contestant is surprisingly human though. He makes poses that get the audience's cheering. He walks into the arena, obviously feeling like home.

Malefio: "To represent Team Punk, we have Tyler Breeze. He comes from the Gates universe. In the region of Ethos, he was a model, then became a wrestler, then turned into a Pokemon Champion. I'm sure he has many moves to show us in this Gauntlet!"

---Spawn Point 9: Team Nostalgia---



The spolight shines on the entrance again as bandits form a corridor for who is obviously their leader: a man with short brown hair, light clothes and bandaged arms. He has belts filled with various knives and daggers, as well as scorpion stingers. He seems to also have a small mechanical chest following him... Probably transporting even more objects. He leaps from holographic walls to holographic walls with ease to show his amazing agility and takes place inside the cube.

Malefio: "To represent Team Nostalgia, we have Mox. He is the leader of the bandits from Steampunk Wars. He might love money, but preventing the destruction of his world is what's really the most important thing for him. Mox is a veteran of the Death Gauntlets, having participated in every single one of them."

---Spawn Point 10: Team Just---



The entrance is illuminated, but no one seems to come out.

Malefio: "Huh? Did Team Just declare forfeit."

King Boo appears next to Malefio and laughs.

King Boo: "Silly you... The contestant is already inside the arena, right where it's supposed to be."

Malefio: "Who is it? I have to present the contestant right?"

King Boo: "Unfortunately, it has an ability that prevents you from doing that!"

King Boo laughs, as Malefio seems confused.

Malefio: "Representing Team Just we have... Someone... Probably really stealthy..."

---Spawn Point 11: Team Evil---



The next contestant is escorted by creatures made of polygons. They seem almost made of crystals. They are clapping their hands for none other than the man in green: Luigi! He jumps from the entrance point, all the way to the top of the cube. A jump this powerful is unusual, even from Luigi. The polygon creatures go back inside.

Malefio: "To represent Team Evil, we have... Luigi? Why is Luigi in team EVIL? Something fishy is going on here..."

Every fighter is in place. Every light are turned off. Only the arena is illuminated.

Malefio: "10...

Oh yes the Pika of Chu is my right hand Pika. Her vast amount of knowledge is second to none. Not only that she has access to all her moves plus a secret ability she only told me recently.

Ohhhhh him he gives me a a bad case of the fury. My fury reaches a level of 9000 when I see him.
