Alright, as you all know, I have indeed returned.
Now then, as you may also know, I have been working on archiving a few things. Mainly my own games because I do not like archiving others' things without permission. Please keep in mind that just because I have archived something does NOT mean that I have abandoned that idea or forgotten about that world. I very dearly hold every one of my creations close to my heart and I do not like seeing any of them archived. However, I believe in some cases it is better that I set dying games aside and put my energy toward creating new things that maintain interest and flow well.
I'd like to take this chance to remind players that if they sign up for a game, they MUST continue to post. I'm not pointing out anyone specifically because I believe we're all culprits of not posting. Now obviously I don't expect you to post all the time under the circumstances of something going wrong in your life, but I cannot ignore the number of games that have collapsed from lack of participation.
In response to this, I am going to work on setting up a system where I should be updating whatever game has spent the most time without. This means that some games will not receive updates on some days, but I will be keeping up with all the games I have. Keep in mind this doesn't mean I won't be updating certain games. Bonus updates will always randomly happen because sometimes that's just what I want to do. However, this should keep things flowing more properly for me to have a schedule. I will work on and post an update schedule that I will stick to, assigning certain games to certain days that way players will also be aware when I will auto move them. Yes, if you do not post, I WILL auto move you on the scheduled day. This is not because I want to be mean, but because I need to keep things moving forward. Keep in mind that out of necessity and update time lengths, some games may show up multiple times in an update week schedule while some will only appear a few times. I will be a bit relaxed on this rule for the first week so you can get used to it, but keep in mind I will be enforcing this without exception afterward.
With that said, I'd like to say that I'm also going to be putting something new together. This is going to be a new crossover type game, but instead of focusing on how it's a crossover, I'm going to be focusing on the game. That...doesn't really make sense, but you'll understand once I explain a bit better. Instead of focusing on how it's multiple worlds coming together, I want to focus on it being one world and changing the things I put in the world to fit into it. Furthermore, instead of playing like I do normal Vitcon games and being nice, I plan on being a bit more of a harsh judge. I want this to feel more Gates style with traps, enemies, and monsters lying in wait at every turn. The uncertainty of survival crawling around at all times. I also want to give players freedom with who they can play as and what they will find as the Gates games did. Note this is NOT a Gates game. I do not have the right to be using that title as it belongs to Punk. However, the idea is based off of it.
More information on the above game will be available within the Suggestions board and I suggest you check it out to give your opinion and help put together a fun game we can all enjoy.
That should be everything. If you have any questions or comments, feel free to post in this thread. I always like to see a good, healthy discussion. Thanks!
