You can forfeit your right to have an Assist.
On the other hand, if Fuzz an Yoshi can start together, I don't see why Crow and you couldn't. Crow wouldn't be your assit though. He'd just be a player character.

How does changing equipment work for Dating Sim characters? Natsumi still hasn't actually gone into the other world, so... huh. She hasn't actually gotten the gear I bought in the arena shop, either. And do I do the design, or does Kitty? I'm fine with either, but there is a running theme I wanted to keep with all the costumes if he's doing it.
Actually-actually... now that I think about it, Natty doesn't even actually have an actual Soul Key yet...
Hey, Mal. Can I assume she has that stuff and all her basic (element) Ward/Seal skills?

Oh. She definitely has all her stuff.
Soul Key
Equipment
Skilks
She can change her equipment at will. You can also give her any skills you have planned for her. I won't complain as long as it's not suspiciously convenient.
