Natsumi closes the door and tries to keep it closed.
You go on one of the balconies and shoot fire into the remaining zombie. It seems to stay down, succumbing to the flames. The slime men seem to be looking around, trying to see what's going on. They're probably not very smart. The Protopet starts multiplying, at which point you burn it. The slime men notices the fiery fuzzballs and whips them with their arms to kill them.
Everything seems fine on Natsumi's side. There is a door in the balcony you're on.

Crow is curious which side is going to win, so he decides to leave it and head through the balcony door.
Natsumi continues to hold the front door shut.

Natsumi continues holding the door. Nothing more seems to happen on her side.
You pass through the door. There is a spiraling staircase going up. For some reason, a chill goes down your spine. As if something was staring at you... You can hear the bell toll at the top of the staircase.

You start going up, as some white spherical entities start appearing. Boos. They laugh, appearing more and more around you. The more you go up, the more like it feels like you have a tornado of Boo around you.
Natsumi sees a huge silhouette in the distance. The shape is quite weird, but it's moving. She can tell it has a crown and some tentacle-like appendages protruding from it's back. It's coming in this general direction.

Crow continues undeterred. If the ghosts try to step, he'll blink forward a few feet.
Natsumi takes one look at the figure. "Oh, HELL no." She ducks behind the side of the church pokes her head out. Once it gets closer, she'll use Sketch to analyze it. And get a picture to show Crow later.

---Crow--- You continue upwards undeterred, the Boos just seem to be spinning around you, as you blink to the top. At the top of the stairs is a door. Boos: "Are you sure you want to go through there? Heh heh heh..." ---Natsumi--- Natsumi hides behind the corner of the church. The figure gets close enough for her to see it.  The gigantic shadow doesn't go all the way to the church. It seems to be roaming the cumulo-nimbus. It eventually stops and changes direction, going towards the big house in the distance. |

Crow rolls his eyes. He equips the Guardian asterisk to become a ghost knight, complete with a tiny spectral headguard and breastplate. Then he sits on the doorknob and pecks at the thing until he manages to get it open.
Natsumi uses her cat-like reflexes and grace (pfffft) to tail the thing from out of sight.

You go through the door. Seems like those Boos were only having fun trying to scare you.
You end up on a rooftop. There is a duplighost sitting on a couch. He's wearing a party hat. Seems like you're at the top of the belltower, as you are under the bell.
There is a big purple portal thing inside of the bell.
Doopliss: "Oh. Hi. A crow. In armor. You're no normal bird are you? Are you here to party with me? The alternative would mean those Quest Ruiners guys didn't do their job."

Crow stares up at the portal, then back to the ghost. He hops into the air and attempts to steal the party hat for his own.

Doopliss: "Yeah, they send me minions through that thing. It's pretty fun."
You the try to steal Doopliss' party hat, but it's attached to him by a string. This results in you whipping the duplighost with his own hat. He seem confused instead of angry at least.
Doopliss: "Stop that. That's no fun. You want to trade hat?"

Doopliss: "Give that back or I'll stop being fun."
