I'm thinking about signing up for this (don't know much about Etrian Oddysey, although this wouldn't be the first time an RP here got me into a new series), although I'm stuck between a couple of ideas for characters. I'm thinking either a stuck-up female Birdfolk noble with the Gunner class, a super creepy male Deep One which has kind of fallen by the wayside now that I've noticed they have abysmal luck which rules out basically every class I was considering for them except Necromancer (plus they're not as squidlike as I was expecting), or a Vessel which is basically the same thing as the Deep One idea (although I still kind of like the Deep One idea, especially after finding out that they can feed on fear). Out of curiosity, what exactly do the birdfolk look like? The wiki didn't seem to have any pictures for them. Are their wings on their back or their arms? Do they look mostly human except for their wings or are they basically anthropomorphic birds? Feathers on their body, or just their wings?

Do they look mostly human except for their wings or are they basically anthropomorphic birds? Feathers on their body, or just their wings? I was going to jokingly suggest banning Birdfolk from wearing capes and Forest Folk from wearing shoes, but looking at this I might seriously consider it... Nah, probably not. Things are complicated enough. Also remember you'll only start with 1 character, but you'll eventually have 5. And, heck, it's only a limit of bringing 5 in the field at a time, there's no reason you can't have more. Wait, my sanity's a good reason. I'll probably need to set a cap of, like... 10 or something...

Well that makes it simpler to just make both (and the hell with it, I'm going with a creepy Deep One instead of a Vessel anyways even if I can't make him basically look like Cthulhu) and have the Birdfolk character be my first one. Now I just need to think of a good name and an appearance for her, I'll get back to you when I've got that.

So Fuzz wants Gunner done, and... Necromancer's already a V class. I'll do it eventually, but you can look at the wiki for now. Malefio: I dunno if you saw, but Farmer's up. Do you want to see any other classes while I'm at this?

Yeah, I already checked the wiki for Necromancer. The appearance of the class is a bit meh but it'll do, and the skills for the class sound kind of neat plus it's one of the only "creepy" classes that don't appear to heavily rely on the luck stat. I think I've got things figured out for my first character, lemme get them signed up real quick.

Why'm I not shocked Kitty would do a Celestrian Arcanist, seeing as they were originally called Mystics and they live in a Forest...
You can go ahead and assign your skill points, btw. Show the new guys how it's done. Leader gets an extra 2.

Name: Peri Gren Race: Birdfolk Class: Gunner Gender: Female Appearance: Peri is paler than most birdfolk (she doesn't get out much) and roughly average height with a slim build. She's got red eyes with red hair (or feathers on her head resembling hair judging by those pictures) and white feathers on her arms, legs, and wings, but the feathers on her wingtips are instead the same shade of red as her "hair". Talons for her hands and feet, naturally. Lastly for some tweaks to her outfit assuming you're going with the ones shown on the wiki the blue female gunner outfit (the one with the bigger hat) recolored red and with the necessary changes to account for race (wing holes, boots either fitted to talons or gone entirely and gloves definitely gone, maybe some modesty shorts underneath the coat so she doesn't flash everyone whenever she's flying) would be preferred if possible. Peri is somewhere around 18-20 years old. Backstory: Peri (or "Lady Gren", as she prefers to be called) is the daughter of a wealthy nobleman. She's lived the life of luxury up until now, but after Lord Gren went missing on one of the many ships sent out to investigate the disappearance of Kald she's set out in search of her father. While naive and a bit of a snob, she's trying her best to figure things out and get along with the other adventurers. Desired Classes: Other than Gunner which you've already done and Necromancer which you said you'll do later I'm still figuring out what I want. Tutorial amount: Let's just say I've never played an EO game before and know basically nothing outside of binding limbs preventing attacks that use them or magic in the case of binding an enemy's head) and that FOEs will ruin your day.
