I was wondering if there was any interest in a Metroid-based game.
Based, cause as my favorite series, Metroid is gonna be a huge part of Vitquest Islands, so doing a Metroid game would feel redundant.
So the game would be a game where your character(s) are stuck on an hostile planet, alone and need to find a way to get off it.
Thing is I'm wondering if the feeling of isolation can work with multiple players.
So what do you think of this idea as a co-op game?
Now. Another thing I want you to consider. Would you join a single-player game where everyone has their own adventures and can never meet each other?

The idea sounds neat on paper, but the idea of an RP where the player characters never interact seems a bit counterintuitive. Co-op could work or similarly feel like it's missing the point of Metroid, it's tough to tell. I guess you could consider me skeptical yet interested even if I've only played Prime 1 (still need to finish that one of these days) and a bit of Super Metroid.

Let's be honest, the only reason you created this thread right at this very moment was so you could cover up my idea for a Phlerb reboot

What if you took Federation Force, but actually made it into a good Metroid co-op game?

I was just thinking. If it's a party of players, but there's no NPCs, this should work.

I think it's a good idea. We could set it on Aether or even Talon IV (My two favorite Metroid planets of all time). I would love the idea of being able to travel to Dark Aether but the mechanics of that could be extremely difficult.

Okay. Time for a vote. Poll will appear after this post. I won't put a limit on how many options you can vote for.
Daegalos Virus 1: You and your crew crashed onto a planet. You have no way of going off of it or communicate. Survive and find a way off the planet. Original Universe created by me. The crew of the crashed ship is constituated of all the players.
Daegalos Virus 2: Same thing, but the players are unnafiliated amd start on their own. It's possible for every players to meet though.
Daegalos Virus 3: Same thing as options 2, but players cannot meet.
Metroid: Uncharted Planet: Set in the Metroid Universe. A new planet was found. As federation troopers, you need to explore it. Of course, you end up stuck on the planet. Co-op gameplay.
Metroid: Bounty Hunters 1: Set in the Metroid Universe. An interesting bounty cautht your attention. You go on the designed planet and end up stuck on it. Thankfully, other Hunters are there with you. Co-op gameplay. You can play as any humanoid race from the Metroid Universe.
Metroid: Bounty Hunters 2: Same thing, but the players are not trying to survive. They are trying to get the bounty first, get back to their ship and leave with the reward. Players are therefore not allies.

Malefio, do you remember that planet called Twin Tabula that you could scan in the pirate projection of the Talon IV system? It mentioned something about a virus on the surface called "Twin fever" that would cause victims to have double vision. Nothing else was ever mentioned about this. But what if we incorporated the game around that? Instead of seeing do u led of everything, the virus invader our minds and causes us to see a doppelganger of ourselves (That others can see as well) When the doppelganger disappears the victim has parshioned and the virus is masquerading as them. They could be like the X virus but with actual malicious intent rather than just mindless feeding.
