You head to the drama club in the auditorium.



The girl with the beret is standing on the stage, and several students are sitting in the audieunce.  "Hello, everyone..." she says.  "I'm Avalon Dey.  The President of the Drama Club.  Let me see...  Well.  Once we decide on our play for the year, we'll start dividing into smaller teams.  Actors, stage hands, other... backstage workers.  But for today we'll just do a few improv drills.  I'll be walking around and observing.  So!  Everyone, please pick a partner."

You look through the audience.  Mattea, Lance, and Dean are all looking for partners.


Vincent, Levi

You head to the gardening club out back behind the school.



There's a sizable plot ready to be planted.  Raine is standing nearby with a wheelbarrow full of fertilizer, a few small plants and seeds, and a collection of tools.  She's shyly twisting one of her toes in the dirt, but she gives Vincent a small smile when she sees him.  And Raine is standing next to... Raine.  Huh?  Vincent realizes that must be her sister, Freya.  He's... 98% sure which one's which, given their outfits.  Laura and Fox are at the front of the small group of students that are in attendance."

"H-hello everyone..." Raine mutters.  She pauses, clears her throat, and starts over, much louder.  "Hello, my little garden worms!" she calls out sweetly.  It sounds more like a pet name than an insult.  Laura gives her a thumbs-up.  "I'm the Gardening Club president, Raine Selig.  I hope you're all ready to put in some hard work!  Those of you who aren't used to this will be sore in the morning, but this is good for your soul!  We'll be managing this garden all year, and nothing will be as satisfying as your first harvest!  Um...  To start, go ahead and introduce yourselves to someone!"


Karl, Dewey

Karl and Dewey head to the Trivia Club.



Alice smiles and nods at Dewey as he enters.  Her smile immediately fades as Karl enters.

"Hello, everyone.  Welcome to the Trivia Club.  I see we've got some new people today, so I'll go over all the questions that were asked at the first meeting.  I'm the club president, Alice Ekantha.  Yes, I'm also the student body president.  Yes, this is a competitive club, and yes we compete with other schools.  Here's how our club works.  We spend the first half of the meeting studying, then the second half doing practice matches in teams of four.  We've got packets of common trivia you can study, or you can simply work on your homework.  Everyone pick a partner to study with and begin.  I'll be walking around to provide assistance where necessary."

You both look around.  There are a few people to pick from.  Tom, Katie, and Somnis are sitting around, as well as each other.  Obviously.


Leia

Jimmy finds you before you leave the classroom.  "Ready to go?"  He leads you into the city.  You're surprised to find he takes you to the largest building, right in the heart of downtown.  It's a towering skyscraper with Vitcorp written down the side.  The entrance is opulent - the kind that has normal doors, revolving doors, and a doorman!  Swanky.  Jimmy waves at the guy as you pass.  "Hey, Dad."

"Hey, Jim.  This your friend you mentioned?"

"Yep!  I'll be back in a bit, gotta get her to her interview first."

"Alright, don't make her late!" Jimmy's dad says.  He smiles and opens the door for you.

The lobby is huge, at least three stories.  White-and-black checkered marble floor, a lush red rug.  Giant, beautifully carved pillars.  A fancy reception desk, and a security guard standing at attention in one corner.  You're pretty sure he's Asian, and he looks... kinda vaguely similar to someone.  You notice his nametag says "Tochiro Tsuki."  You're sure you've heard that name somewhere before.

Jimmy brings you to the receptionist.  "Ms. Dey!" he calls out.  Once again, you feel like you've heard that name before.  And that she kinda looks like someone.

The receptionist peers down over some half-moon glasses.  "Yes?  Oh, hello Jimmy.  This is our prospective hire, yes?  I'll escort her the rest of the way..."

Jimmy hands you over, and she walks you down a hall and through some large doors.  Inside the building isn't quite as nice - it's still a clean, modern office, but they didn't blow a ton of money making this part look all fancy.  "Just stay calm, answer the interview questions honestly, and everything will be fine."  She pauses and opens a door for you, giving you a small push into an office marked 'Head of Shipping and Receiving.'

Inside, you find a blond-haired man sitting at a desk.  He stands up and smiles at you, offering a handshake.  "Ms..."  He pauses and checks a sheet of paper.  "Ms. Leia Everett?  Nice to meet you.  I'm Klaus Selig, and I'm in charge of deliveries and logistics here at Vitcorp.  I'd be your direct supervisor.  Now, before we begin, let's go over a bit of what you would be doing.  You'll be getting paid a bit over minimum wage, plus a few bonuses for various things - making deliveries at off hours and whatnot.  You'll work one or two days a week.  The job's easy enough.  Vitcorp owns a few smaller businesses throughout town, and they sometimes need small deliveries that aren't worth sending out a whole delivery truck or anything.  Which will be your duty.  Easy, right?  Are you still interested in the job?"

Leia seems a bit confused about everything going on. At least, confused is not panicked.

"Hum... Yes. I just bring packages to certain locations. Doesn't sound too hard."

(Julia would have so investigated this company right now)

Tai seeks out Mattea to be her partner in whatever he has to do.

Dewey

Before you can pick someone, the black-and-white haired guy intercepts you.  He sweeps his hair back.  "So, hey.  I'm Kiran.  Let's work together, huh?"

Dewey picks literally anyone but Karl. Even he's heard of Karl. After choosing a partner he'll start studying to prepare for the second half of the meeting.

Leia

Mr. Selig nods.  "Mm-hm, mm-hm.  Nothing wrong with working for the paycheck.  We all need money to live, after all..."  He seems a bit sad when he says that.  "Anyway.  The last interview question's a two-parter.  It's kind of an odd question, but, eh.  I'm in logistics, not HR.  So.  First, what would you do if you had super powers?  Second, how far would you go to save the world?"
