The get off the bus at Tai's hosue. It's exterior isn't particularly impressive. Suddenly, Tai feels a bit insecure about it actually. It's definitely more... run-down than Mattea's.

Tai opens the door and gestures towards the couch, looking nervous. It's not new, but it's always been comfy enough for the short time Tai spends in the living room. "Sorry for the mess. I, uh, we don't spend much time in here. I'll just take a minute."


Tai takes more than a minute, but still not long at all. When he walks back down his usual sneakers are replaced by some nice black dress shoes. He's wearing some black slacks and a black dress shirt (the top few buttons undone) with white and red accents and a white shirt beneath. It's definitely still his color scheme, but it looks much more formal than his normal attire. He topped it off with a red bow-tie.

"Yeah, yeah... I look kind of lame... but My mom made me buy it a year or so ago for a baseball banquet. It's the nicest thing I got."His face is a bit blushed.

Sam

You head to your house and inside. Raine takes a quick look around before adjusting her hair and turning her full attention to you. She shakes her head. "So, um... what do you want to talk about?"


Tai

You head to Mattea's house and she pauses before she opens the door. She steps inside, tosses her shoes and coat aside, and flips her hair over her shoulder. "So... what do you wanna do? Watch a movie, maybe grab a drink, or... maybe head upstairs?"

Tai

Mattea sighs, but smiles and bends down to rummage through the collection of movies by the television.  "Fine, fine.  Let's see...  How about something actually halfway decent this time?"

She ends up putting on a romance movie and curling up on the couch next to you.  It's not a particularly good movie.  It's pretty bog-standard, really.  Girl meets boy, dad doesn't approve, things get complicated, dad changes his mind, big happy ending.  At least it has a few kinda funny scenes and some decent writing.  It doesn't feel too stiff or forced, even if it's not all that realistic either.  'Halfway decent's' a good way to put it.

Mattea is nearly motionless throughout most of the movie, but sighs again as the credits roll - contentedly this time.  "I love this movie...  I mean, not great.  But I still like it."

Sam

(God I must have changed this like a million times. Please be gentle Uncle Crow Senpai. Pretty please have mercy, I had such a hard time coming up with this post.)

Sam takes a couple of moments to gather who thoughts and leads Raine to the sofa.

"Well It's time I told you my story,". "The fact that I am about to tell you this means I have the utmost trust in you,". "I just hope you don't think less of me after I tell you the truth,". "You see I might only told everyone part of the reason why I moved," Sam says to Raine as she makes herself comfy on the sofa.

"I hope your comfy Raine because It's going to be a long one,". "It's true my dad got transferred to a branch out here,". "Well the thing is it's my fault why my dad got transferred,". "The whole story is I got into a big fight in my old school,". "The girl that I got into a fight with was the girl who was constantly bullying me,". "I ended up punching her in the face so hard I broke her bones in her face,". "It was so bad she had to get emergency surgery to repair the bones in her face," Sam seems to be upset about what happened.

"If it would have been simple if it just merely standing up to a bully and just punching her really hard". "I would have gotten expelled from school and I could always transfer to another school close by,". "Unfortunately, for me the girl that was constantly bullying me and the one was Bob's daughter, ". "Bob is the name of my dad's boss and before everything happened,". "The girl who was my biggest bully used to be my best friend,". "Carla was her name along with Sara her next door neighbor," Sam early tone then began to turn a bit somber.

"First off I need to tell you a bit of backstory about me, Carla, and Sara,". "I met Carla and Sara when I was 3 years old,". "My dad and his boss were old high school friends,". "So when Bob became a head boss in the company they worked at,". "Bob managed to get my dad in first as a high level manager first then eventually as his equal,". "Anyways I went with my dad to Bob's house one day when I was three,". "It was short notice and mom was already out at work,". "So I went out there and that's when I first met Carla and Sara," Sam says to Raine.

"They were outside playing already, Bob and dad said that it was fine to go outside and play,". "At first I was very nervous about approaching them and kept my distance,". "Sara was the first person to come and greet me," She invited me to come and play with them,". "Sara mentioned to me that my hair was pretty and that she never met someone with hair like that before,". "It made me happy to hear that way back then," Sam says to Raine. Sam seems to still be relaxed and almost a little joyful at this point in the story.

"I might have told you already, but I was born with a rare gene that causes my hair to come out as a Silver color," Sam tells Raine

"Carla was also very curious about me and slowly made her way towards me,". "Carla also thought my hair was very pretty and after that they invited me to play with them," Sam seems a little more at ease telling Raine this part of the story.

"That's how I met my two best friends Sara and Carla,". "The three of us were so close that we were like sisters growing up,". " Carla was also my biggest defender against other kids who picked on me,". "She would always be the one to stick up for any of the other kids who picked on me,". "The three of us would do everything together and we all talked about what we would do when we grew up". "We thought things would never change and that these days would last forever," Sam is still in good spirits but her tone is slowly changing.

"We were so naive back in those days but well one day things just began to change," "At first it was little changes things you wouldn't think of,". "A little white lie about not wanting to hang out here and there,". "Nothing that set off any red flags,". "Yet it seemed like everyday little by little Carla would become more distant,". Sam tone is now a bit more somber as she started to remember more of the sad times.

"Yet I never really got a response just the usual nah nah it's fine, it's all good,". "I was still close with Sara and even she wasn't sure why Carla was acting so distant,". "Sara asked why but even she couldn't get a straight answer from Carla". "Both of us were concerned about whether we did something wrong,". "Until one day me and Sara found out what happened with Carla," Sam says to Raine.

"One day when me and Sara were going out on one of our date we saw Cafla with a new group of girls,". "Me and Sara thought nothing of it at first and wanted to introduce ourselves to Carla and her friends,"."Little did I know that would be the day things would change forever,". "To this very day her words still sting like daggers to my heart,". "Carla said to me she doesn't associate with anyone who's an old lady or a granny,". "She told me that the senior center was down the road and I should be going there instead of bothering her and her friends,". "When Carla said that to me, I thought she was joking at first,". "A rather cruel joke because she knows first hand how sensitive my hair is to me,". "I told her that was kind of an awkward way to joke about,"." Yet when Carla made the same remark but this time her tone was completely serious I couldn't hide my tears anymore," Sam tells Raine but she is starting to get a bit upset. Sam is starting to recall one of the most painful memories and Raine could see it on her face.

"Sara said what the hell to her and why was she acting like this,". "Carla didn't even respond and she paid Sara no mind,". "For the longest time after that day Carla became my biggest bully,". "Before I couldn't wait to see Carla now every time I saw her Carla would go out of her way to tell me how much my look offended her,". I eventually did what I could to avoid her and just stop talking to her,". "Try as I might to avoid Carla would always find a way to humiliate me whenever she could," Sam is now starting to get upset. Sam now has to pause every now and then to regain her composure.

"I couldn't figure out why she just hated me all of a sudden,". "It couldn't be over a boy she had a crush on because I don't even like boys,". "I like girls and Carla knows that I am gay because she was the first person I told when me and Sara started to date". "Carla didn't seem turned off about that and she was very supportive,". "Carla was very happy for me and Sara when we started to date," Carla couldn't wait to help plan dates for me and Sara, she was like our little planner" Sam told Raine. Sam seem a little better about this part of the story. Sam doesn't seem nervous about revealing she is gay.

"One day me and Sara finally found out why Carla became so mean towards us,". "Me, Sara, and Carla were not the most popular girls,". "Yet we got along with pretty much everyone,". "Things changed when her dad Bob became the president of their company and my dad became vice president,". "Carla became really popular from that point forward and everyone wanted to be her friend,". "Even the popular girls started taking notice of Carla and they told her she could even hang out with them,". "The only thing she had to do was stop hanging out with me, because despite the fact that both of our families were pretty well off,". "My Silver hair automatically made me unpopular in their eyes and that I could never be cool or popular,". "I did everything I could to get rid of this hair tried dying it, cutting it, hiding it beneath wigs, but nothing would work," Sam says to Raine but it's beginning to become clear the memories are getting to her.

"Carla might have left me and Sara behind but Sara was still very supportive,". "In a weird way it brought me and Sara closer,". "Sara became my biggest defender and my rock through everything going on with Carla". "One day she had enough of Carla's act and told her off in front of everyone,". "Sara put Carla in her place and told Carla about how popularity made her such a bitch,". "Carla didn't take that very well at all, and I had a really bad feeling that Carla would do something to get even,". "So one day Carla sent a text to Sara telling her to meet her at our special place that only the three of us knew about,". "Carla said she knew that she change and she wanted to apologize to Sara and me but she wanted to tell Sara first,". "I told Sara I should come with her but Sara thought everything was going to be fine,". "Carla might have finally turned over a new leaf,". "I told Sara, I had a bad feeling but Sara just gave me a kiss and left,". "I wish I could say the feelings were unfounded, but I was so very right," Sam is starting to tear up because this is another painful memory for her. Sam also looks towards Raine and she has a very apologetic look on her face.

"Raine when we were in Aunt Hinoh's mansion and those people attacked,". "When I couldn't save you and the only reason why you weren't taken was because of that one girl appearing just in the nick of time,". "Raine that moment brought back the single worst moment ever,". "I couldn't protect you from those people,". "Just like I couldn't help or save Sara,". "It's why I still apologize to you this very day for being so worthless to you that day,". "Why when I saw them carrying you off my heart just sank right out of my body and I thought that I lost you," Sam is now trying her best to keep her composure. Sam was able to hide her tears for a moment but she was unable to do so anymore.

"The text message Carla sent to Sara was as I feared was a trap,". "Carla was embarrassed Sara called her out and she wanted Sara to pay for humiliating her,". "So Sara arrived at the location and that's when Carla and a group of her friends were there waiting for Sara to arrive,". "They circled Sara and before Sara could do anything they beat her up really bad,". "When she arrived at the hospital, their were cuts and bruises all over and Sara was unconscious,". "I wanted to try and see her but her parents wouldn't let me". "I think to this very day they still kinda of blame me for what happened to Sara,". "They said as soon as she was healed up they were pulling Sara out of that school and they were moving away,". "They changed their phone numbers and moved far away and seem to erase any mention of me and Carla,". "I still can't tell you how Sara is doing or what she's been up to this very day," Sam says to Raine and she is still upset but not ready to cry.

"The next day I found out and I initially blamed myself,". "If Sara and me weren't dating or friends she would still be okay,". "Sara would never have been beaten up or put in the hospital,". "Then when Sara moved away I was really depressed,". "I kept telling myself Carla would be fine if only I was there or if only she never associated herself with me,". "I still went to school, and all that stuff but I was still lost in my own head," Sam says to Raine.

"Carla used this opportunity to remind each and every day what she did to Carla."
"Carla even said that one day it would be my turn and if I knew what was good for me,". "I would do everyone a favor and well….,". "Well I don't need to say it but well you get the picture,". "Our parents didn't want to get involved because they kept saying it was an issue between me and Carla and we should handle it ourselves,". "I did find out that Bob had to pay Sara's parents a hefty sum of money to get them to not press charges," Sam says to Raine.

"To this day I don't even remember what hit the last nerve those memories are hazy,". "I know it was the usual my girlfriend was hurt because of me,". "That it was my fault that Sara was put into the hospital,". "If I didn't learn my place I would be next,". "Her and her little group of friends almost seemingly enjoying the pain they caused," "The next thing I remember is making a fist and just punching Carla as hard as I could,". "All those years of aggression and feelings,". "All those years of betrayal went into that punch,". "I just remember screaming over and over why did she betray me and Sara,". "Why did she have to betray and turn her back on us?". "Why why why is what I remember screaming as I kept punching harder and harder,". "The next thing I remember I had teachers pulling me off of her,". "I was covered in blood and I was also arrested that day," Sam says to Raine.

"Bob and my dad had a falling out and my dad was transferred to a branch out here,". "He also lost his title of vice president and is now just the regional manager,". "I was arrested and have a felony on my record for now,". "Instead of jail Bob as one last act for his former best friend agreed not to pursue and instead settled for probation," Sam says to Raine as she wipes away some tears.

"So that's my story, about how I ended up,". "Raine if you want to flee from me and never speak to me again I will understand,". "It's just I wanted to tell you my story and who I was and what lead me here," "I can understand if you think I am a complete wacko but it was important I told you everything,". "You mean alot to me and I wanted you to know everything,". "Just well I hope I didn't scare you away from me,". "But if I did then it was my fault and well it's fine," Sam is starting to cry and she has her face covered she's almost afraid to look at Raine.
