You drag Grant home. Considering he walks alongside you with no resistance, it's less dragging him and more just walking home holding his hand.

Saturday, September 15th

Morgan, Levi, Floyd, Tai, Leia

You all head to the Park for the festival.  It's early when you get there, just after dawn.  The air is cool and crisp, and dew still covers the grass.  Several stalls are set up, along with a few banners and signs.

Jimmy's here, taking pictures of everything going on.  Sachi's loading cute cookies onto a table to sell.  Avalon, Dean, and Avel are here to work, as well.  Somnis, Kiran (probably), Tia, Buttons, and... Freya?  She got out of jail early!  It's a mid-September miracle!  They all show up and quickly head into makeshift tents to get ready.

Natsumi's here, organizing everyone.  She seems a bit more... together today.  She's wearing proper clothes, though her shoes are still missing.  But her hair is washed and combed!  And she isn't constantly stuttering.


Levi, Floyd

You go to paint the faces.  Dean and Avel do, as well.  You all get set up under one of the picnic shelters.  Sachi comes by after he finishes getting ready.  You have a few minutes to chat before the festival opens...


Morgan

You get taken into one of the tents.  Natsumi comes by with a cute outfit for you to wear.  A few people you don't know who don't even have names because they're unimportant start painting you.

While they work, Avalon comes in to help coach you on how to act. "Remember, you're going around playing with the youngsters.  But you need to be careful not to freak out any of the little kids.  Here's some stuff to watch out for..."


Leia

You get assigned to the team painting Buttons.  He's wearing basically his swimsuit, and you're supposed to paint him with a bunch of tentacles.

"Ugh, I can't believe I'm doing this.  Nat owes me big time..."


Tai

Natsumi pulls you aside.  "So-o-o-o I know I said you could paint me privately, bu-u-u-ut change of plans.  By which I mean I lied.  I need to work on Freya.  Plus, I mean, I know you're not interested in me compared to...  Well, have fun."

She shoves you into a tent alone with... Mattea.  She's sitting on a stool in a two-piece swimsuit.  Less revealing than her usual bikini, but...

She grins at you.  "Hey, Tai.  So you're gonna be painting me, huh?  You better make me look good, or I'm never gonna let you hear the end of it!"

Should I be... concerned...? Or happy...?


Tai isn't sure exactly how he feels about this revelation. Mattea is cooland all, but...


Still, he doesn't show his emotion, but rather puts on his game face, determined and focussed.

"Alright! You better be ready to get messy, cause that's what art is. An organized mess that's appealing to the eye. Not that you don't already meet some of that criteria, but." Tai smirks.


He goes to grab his tools and look at the design he's using on her. Hes actually kind of nervous, but theres no backing down now, for better or worse.

Tai

Mattea shrugs. "I don't really get this whole art thing. But that Nutty girl said the president really should be involved." She shudders when she says president. Seems she's still happy she won. "I was just gonna do wardrobe, but she said she'd do something's for me if I helped with the painting stuff, so... But, like, this is a relief. I was worried I'd have some random creeper all over me. It's fine if it's you."

You look at the design. You realize it's a slightly modified version of your angel submission.

"Um...Hi, Floyd. I'm Levi." Levi shuffles his feet around a bit. "...So uh. Natsumi really likes painting people for some reason, doesn't she...?"

Arcadia

When you arrive, there's plenty of places you can check out.  A bunch of kids are running around.  Levi and some kids you don't know are painting faces - a punk rocker, a guy with flowing white hair, and... Floyd.  And Sachi, the cooking club guy, is selling those cookies you made.

There's also a large banner labeled 'Newvit High Class of 2018.'  Students are all dipping a hand or foot in paint and leaving prints, then signing next to them.

Also a bunny girl is walking around.  Not the tights type.  The actual-rabbit type.


Levi, Floyd

"Heck yeah, paint brigade," Avel says.  "Name's Avel, by the way."

"It is a body art festival..." Dean reminds Levi.

The kids start coming quick.  They ask for a lot of different things.  And most of them refuse to sit still...  It's a real artistic workout.  And you get a lot of practice dealing with kids.

Leia

It's a bit awkward... but you finish the job.  Buttons makes it easier by sitting silently the whole time.  It looks pretty good, especially once Buttons puts his cape on over it.


Tai

Mattea gives a light laugh while you work.  "Hey, no need to be so gentle.  You're pretty cute when you're all focused like that."  She gives you a flirtatious wink as she swaps legs.

It looks... OK.  Not quite what you imagined, but passable.  As long as no one stands and examines her too closely


Leia, Tai

Morgan

"Um...  Just remember that some of the little kids might get excited and hit you or something?  Just be calm and it'll all be fine."

They end up painting you to look like a bipedal rabbit.  They've also got some costume stuff for you.  Cutesy dress and sandals and ribbons and a pair of floppy ears on a headband.

You spend some time playing with the kids.
