That night, most people trickle out of the park. The only ones here are Grant and Avalon. Grant takes a seat at one of the benches. Avalon takes a seat under a tree with a small blanket and a book.

Sam dips her foot in the water and shudders. It's very cool, but doesn't seem dangerously cold.
"Eh... Yeah, I guess that wasn't that long ago... And that was at night, not during the day when it's warmer." Freya mutters. "Still colder than I want to swim in. But you guys can have fun."
Ilya floats up on her back. "What are you doing?" she asks, diving back under before popping up a few moments later. "Either swim or don't."

"Yeah, the lessons," Freya says, tiptoeing towards the river. "I didn't forget or anything. I even tried to find out when the rink was going to re-open, but they're not answering the phone."
"The day after tomorrow," Ilya answers, flipping onto her back before diving back under.
"Huh?" Freya waits until she surfaces again. "How do you know?"
"I checked in person," she explains.
"Oh. That makes sense." Freya nods, then plants a hand on Sam's back while she's checking the water. "By the way, about that nothing that happened yesterday? Payback!" She gives Sam a push towards the water.

"Oh. Why?" Grant asks. "Seems like most people are always doing stuff."

Freya's arm goes taut as Sam grabs it. Sam, halfway through falling, freezes in midair, dangling from her bicep. Instead of falling in after her, Freya takes a step back and pulls her from the river. "You don't get to take revenge for my revenge. But, fine. You'll get yours the same way you dished it out... eventually."
