"Yeah!" Somnis says. "Well, mostly. If you get too many people in one place it tends to attract monsters, but to a point, yeah! Um... Kiran told me where to meet, so let's just meet there soon. I need to do some stuff at the library."
"OK," Katie says. "C'mon, let's go play until then!"
"Katie... We need to do our homework, too..." Fox says. "Let's just do it together."
You kill the time until midnight, then meet at the train station... hm. This is pretty close to Ilya's place, huh. Wonder if she knows about this. And, as expected, there's a silvery portal right by the entrance.
"Oh, right!" Katie says. "Run really really fast when you go through the portal and maybe you won't fall over."
"Huh?" Somnis thinks. "Oh... Yeah. I guess that might work?" She gives it a try and passes through the portal.

"Time? Oh, right... You've got to get ready for work..." Alice hurriedly takes out her phone. "Ah, how unfortunate... That match was fun, but it took much longer than usual. And you'll need to eat, of course. Ah, I made you pick lunch, so that means it's my turn to figure something out. Let me see... Ah, I know. We've already abandoned any pretense of being prim and proper for the day, so let's have you try one of those American bastardizations of a foreign food. I'm interested to see how the English take is different." She taps at her phone for a bit. "Annnnd there we go. Now, while we wait for dinner to arrive... How about we have a nice chat?" Alice snatches the feather duster, beckons you with her finger, takes a seat on her settee, pats her lap, and smiles evilly. "So, you've been here for a week, so you should have a decent opinion by now. How do you like it here?"

Nora grins as she settles back down next to Alice, placing her feet back in her lap. She then shrugs.
"Well, I don't really hate it or anything. In a lot of ways, it's pretty much exactly what I expected an American city to be like. I like the school well enough- better than my one at home, at least. Met some wonderful people- you at the top of the list. I've already made some fun memories here. That said... I do feel the pangs of homesickness already, and... Hmm. How do I put this diplomatically...? This city feels like a fucking Twilight Zone episode sometimes."

"Twilight Zone, hm? That's a good way to put it. It certainly keeps things interesting... Speaking of which." She places the feather duster against you and smirks. "Well? Any last words?"
Nora pretends to think for a moment. "You're very beautiful."
Alice smiles and pats your leg. "Yes. Yes I am. Beautiful and terrible as the dawn." She proceeds to prove just how terrible she can be, but at least pauses to give you a break every few minutes. "Aw, is it too much? You really should have thought of that earlier. Though that would've been quite the shame, you're really quite cute with your face all flushed like that..."
After what feels like an eternity, a knock comes from the door. "Aw, fun's over... for today," Alice says, releasing you to go answer. You don't think you've ever been so thankful to see burritos. "Do you want the chicken or the beef? I'm fine with either. Or do you need a few minutes to catch your breath?" She sets them out with nachos and cheese.

Alice hands you your burrito. She points her own at you accusingly. "Oh, please. Don't even pretend you wouldn't have been taunting me with some big monologue if our positions had been reversed." She stops using her burrito as a pointer and takes a bite. "Mmm... I was only able to take you on because I got in your head, but a little tickling's not going to work on you forever... I better study up and practice or it really will be me in your lap next time."

Nora grins. "You're right, of course. On all accounts. But I'm going to practice too. And I already have a secret weapon to help me get my game back. Oh, but don't assume I'll be content with just getting my old skill level back. Instead, I think I'll get even better than I used to be. Maybe invent some entirely new stratagems."
She starts eating her burrito. "Oh, surprisingly good... Junk food to be sure, but tasty junk food. Haven't had many burritos back home though, so not really in a position to compare. Hmm... Is there any decent spot to get fish and chips in town?"

Alice takes a few more bites while she thinks. "Well... I can think of some decent seafood restaurants that do fried fish that might serve. And there's a few pubs downtown. I've never bothered checking them out, but I can ask around and see if anyone knows if they're any good." She pauses for another bite. "It might be worth trying down at the boardwalk, too. I don't exactly spend a lot of time at the beach."

You head downtown to scope out the damage. By the time you get there, the main roads are already looking pretty good. A lotta busted windows covered with tarps but eh what are you gonna do.
Vivian is walking out of an alleyway with a big brown bag. Some guy you don't recognize waves at her then heads down the alley.

She checks the time and sighs. "Oh, I should be going soon... I need to have time to go back to my place and change. Didn't want to stuff my suit in a bag and get it all wrinkled. Shame, I wish I could spend more time with you..."

Alice folds her arms with a frown. "And you're not just trying to get out of more punishment?" Her frown turns to a smile. "A shame, yes. It does feel a bit silly going all the way back then here again... And on days you work after school, too, huh. I'd offer to lend you one of mine, but I don't think it would quite fit. But if you have a spare suit I wouldn't mind you stashing it in my room." She lets her arms down. "I had fun, too. Even if things got a bit, ah... unladylike. Let's just keep that - and our mutual weakness - between us, hm?"

You follow the guy into the alleyway and find a small pawn shop tucked away. Looks like it's open, and not badly damaged. Also sketchy.

You head home and change outfits, grab your spare, then make your way back to Vitcorp. You're cutting it close on time, but fortunately Alice is waiting out in the lobby. She grabs the spare, tells you to have a nice day at work, reminds you how to use the wristband, then heads back to her room.
You make your way upstairs to the legal department. You find Mr. Tarea waiting for you. "Nora! Right on time. Great, great. Well. As you can tell, today's a bi-i-i-it of a weird day today. Half our staff was stuck out at sea on the maiden voyage of the new cruise liner, the building got messed up, and the CEO had to pay a trip to the hospital... Oh, yes, right. She wants you to stop by her office at the end of your shift, which will be midnight today... Again, weird day. Alright, where do we start... You already met the head of security. Want to meet some of the other heads, or would you rather get right to going over some documents?"
