"Oh, yeah, OK. What?" Kiran asks.
A pair of people in armor walk past the alley. One is carrying the laser cannon, and the other has the sword and shield.
"You sure they'll show up?" the one with the laser cannon asks.
"Yeah... I mean, probably?" sword and shield says.
"Oh, yeah, big confidence there. Whatever, but if they're pulling something and you're leading us into some ambush, I'm blasting you first."
"Maybe don't do that?" shield asks. "Whatever, let's just take cover in that alley over there and try not to draw attention."
Linus
"What's wrong with good enough?" Mareena asks. "I always just wanted to live a happy little life with a few friends, enough money to get by, and the freedom to do what I want, when I want. Trying for more than 'good enough' usually means giving up at least one of those."

"Well... Hum... Looks like he didn't come along... At least I told him I would bring someone... He... He didn't...
What do you think Kiran, do we pretend we didn't just see them? Do we ditch? Well... We can't really ditch them until Natsumi arrives I guess... Otherwise she'll be stuck alone with them..."

"Yeah... Yeah. Natsumi's not stupid, but she's really, really not subtle, either," Kiran agrees. "If we leave her here, she'll probably just wind up hanging out with them without us."
"Without who?" Natsumi asks, wearing her new spider costume. She's grappling between the two walls a few inches above the ground, moving in near silence as she approaches. She looks at the group hiding in the alley across the street and waves. "Hi!" she whispers loudly, but not loud enough for them to hear. "Why are we hiding?"
If the other group saw Natsumi waving, they didn't react.
Linus
Mareena twirls in place a few times, then stops. She leans uncomfortably close to Linus face, staring, voice dropping to a whisper. "Are you though? Are you really happy?"

Linus leans back and holds his breath as Mareena gets all right up his grill.
"It was a figure of speech."
Linus puts a hand on Mareena's forehead and gently pushes to give his face some breathing room.
"What I meant is that if you really are unbothered by it like you say you are, then I'll stop worrying about it, too. And if you're just putting up a front... well, then I'll take the hint and drop the subject anyway."

In a panicky voice, but quiet voice, Leia quickly gives some exposition to Natsumi.
"Oh! Natsu-girl! Jimmy is a mech guy, he's one of these two guys ou just waved at! He wanted to show me something, but since you guys don't trust the mech guys I decided not to go alone, with his permission. He didn't ask me to bring someone though, so I'm kinda scared of his intentions and wait... These guys have their mechs in the real world?! And what if these two are not even Jimmy?"

Mareena resists being pushed back just enough to force Linus to really push. "You really are worried about this, hm? Strange, strange. But it's fine? Mareena is happy with the way things are now. Also, she has her birds to take care of. Now come along and stop moping about, we have to make sure there are no monsters.

"Well, yeah, we've seen them in their armor before?" Kiran says. "Plus we can use our Otherworld forms here too now."
Leia's phone beeps with a text message from Jimmy. "Hey. Waiting near the museum entrance for when the portals open. Gamma got all paranoid and followed me so heads up."

"It'll work as long as the portals are open from midnight to sunrise," Natsumi explains. "Maaaaaybe during the day, some. As long as we don't overdo it. Because of the, um... residue?"
"Residual energy?" Kiran suggests, mask and tophat appearing as he activates his key.
"Yeah! That!" Natsumi agrees.
Jimmy awkwardly waves back with his free arm, the other holding his shield. He looks both ways before crossing the street and darting over. "Hey."
Gamma, laser cannon slung across their back, seems to glare from underneath the mask. "Hey."
"Hi!" Natsumi says. "Soooooo who's ready to check out the museum?"
"Me!" Kiran says.
"Uh, yeah, that was the plan," Jimmy says, rubbing the back of his head. "Are you ready, L- uh, Person?"
