Pimpernal spins his spirit key with his fingers as he holds it up high, then dramatically brings it to chest level as he holds a fan of five Brilliant Feathers over it, with a weapon in mind.

Nora

Alice freezes for a moment, then shakes her head.  "Yeah, well...  L-let's just see if you're so confident when you see the loser's p-prize."  She rummages in her bag for a moment before pulling out a pair of handcuffs lined with pink fuzz that you're pretty sure you remember Mattea having.  "S-s-so?  Getting c-cold feet?  N-n-now's your chance to... back out."


Dewey, Linus

Linus' key sucks in the feathers.  It starts to glow brighter before the light spreads to the weapon in his hand.  The musket barrel elongates, wings sprouting from its stock.  The bullets in the chamber start to glow a pale green, spiraling with energy.

"Uh, minotaur?  I, uh, think you're thinking of the Soul Labyrinth?  In the mall.  With the big snake lady?" Jimmy suggests.  "I meant the museum.  It's, uh, at the museum.  It's full of, uh... museum-y stuff.  Like... art and... photos... and... sculptures?"

Nora laughs, big and loud. "Oh, my dear, those will look so good on you."

She grins. "Of course, if you manage to win, you'd have me truly at your mercy... Naturally, there will be no backing out."

Leia

"So, uh...  Want to go?  With me?" Jimmy asks.  "And, uh, anyone else you want to bring.  Tonight, I guess."

Linus, Dewey

"Hmmm, someone else picking up scraps.  Who could it be...  Are you going to make anything, Dewey? The Great Mareena should probably make a few things herself...  But she finds herself lacking inspiration." Mareena stops, staring at Linus as his armor changes.

His outfit changes from a proper traditional European to a more Roman look, with the top made of layered sheets of white cloth-covered armor.  The long pants and thighboots are covered with an armored skirt, and a white, puffy plume juts out of the helmet.

Clouded Musketeer (Phys Res +2, Water Res+5, Wind Res +1, Elec Res +5, Light Res +6, Evade +10)

"Oh, cute," Mareena says.  She fishes around for her things.  "OK, Mareena will make something.  What do you think she should use?"


Leia

"Um...  I wasn't going to?" Jimmy says.  "I mean I can if you want, but... are you sure Natsumi won't be mad you didn't tell her?"

Leia raises her eyebrows in probably her first moment of authority in her entire life.

"Oh. Natsumi will know, that wasn't a question. I will tell her. Tomorrow. You're a good friend, I'll at least give you some time to prepare mentally for whatever's going to happen, especially since you mentioned that Mercia would already know that I just guessed you were one of the mechs. I trust you not to ambush me tonight, don't make me regret it..."

Leia

"Why... would I do that?" Jimmy asks.  "I mean, what would I gain from it?  I guess you could say it protects my secret, but it's not like I could get away with it?  If you went missing, the last person anyone saw with them would obviously be a suspect, and- nevermind.  Well, whatever.  If you're sure she won't be mad, that's fine.  I just meant it might be good to have some extra firepower in case of monster attacks, y'know?  I'll see you around midnight.  We can meet around here."


Dewey, Linus

"Hm.  I don't think that'll go so well with the claws, but the Great Mareena does have a use for it. Besides, never pass up a free shiny." Mareena leans over and snatches the halo. "Sitting on all these unused materials is silly, so maybe Mareena will make a few outfits." She proceeds to take out a small mountain of materials, holding them up in batches as she swaps through different armors.

The first set of armor looks like a ribcage of carapace has formed around Mareena's torso, reaching from behind to form a web in the center of her chest, the lower webs ending in pointed tips, the last set holding a loincloth around her waist. Thick bundles of web bind her ankles together, stretching and snapping back with every step and causing her to walk with an erratic gait that's difficult to read.

The next outfit is formed from brightly glowing golden bracelets, anklets, and a choker. A shadowy mesh stretches between them, twisted in the form of a snake that slithers and writhes as she moves, tendrils branching from its body. The gelatinous shapes squirm and reform into mockeries of different creatures, none quite right.

The last outfit looks like an unadorned, white leotard that shines like plastic. Her usual jewelry is replaced with loops made of vines, an intricate flower crown wrapped around her head and coiling down to hold her hair in a ponytail.
