He looks over each new outfit as they're created, making a conscious effort not to look like he's staring. "Those vines and floral crown are... really pretty! I'm not sure a snake motif suits you, but I think it's kind of cool, the vaguely unsettling and freaky way the mesh moves like that.. That webbed outfit doesn't seem very comfortable to wear, however. Looks like it's a struggle to walk, and I can't even imagine trying running in them. How do you feel about it?"

"I'm helping Dad cook right now ୧ ‧₊˚ 𓐐⋅ he took the day off and wanted to spend the day together for some reason ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ but I can sneak out and meet you in the park around dark?"

"I think it probably looks really good and that when given an invitation you should take it instead of trying to pretend you aren't interested. That said... it is indeed hard to move in. It is indeed difficult to walk in, but it's not unpleasant and the Great Mareena is equal to the challenge. She doesn't shy away from difficult things! They can be enjoyable in their own right." Mareena switches back to the floral outfit. "But I agree this is probably best for general purpose combat, hm? Well! Thank you both for coming on patrol. I think those were the only monsters that slipped out into the junkyard. The Great Mareena has a few other places she wants to check around town, but she shouldn't need any more help."

You part ways from Dewey and start heading back to town. Mareena removes her transformation as you head back through the gap in the fence. "So-o-o-o, what did you need to talk about all private-like, hm?"

Linus follows her example in reverting his transformation. He sniffs his sleeve, and is pleased that the junkyard smell didn't stick to his civilian clothes.
I wonder how the Pimpernal outfit goes in the wash.
"It's not that much of a private matter, I don't think," he says. "I just wanted to ask how you are doing. You seem to be in a better mood than last night, at least."
Unless it was an act.

You hide out nearby, trying not to draw too much attention. Kiran walks right past you and starts loitering somewhere else before eventually noticing you and coming back. "Otherworld, otherworld," he whispers quietly. "Whoo! Hey. What's up?"

Linus keeps his eyes on the path Mareena is taking as she walks backward. It occurred to him that there's a nonzero chance she has some kind of precognitive ability to avoid any potential tripping hazards, but keeping an eye out anyway felt like the right thing to do.
