You head to the old train station and find Avel hanging out on a bench outside. The building is kind of smashed up and run down. It's obviously closed, probably for a decade or more. There's even an old, rusted train car out back. Neat.
"Yo, dude. Are you ready to rawk on tonight?"

"Um...Yes. I'm very prepared to um...rawk. I think. Well I mean...it's probably my first time so I'll do my best, but maybe not right, but I'll try. I think." Levi decides to stop talking.
"So um...What's this uh...thing we're going to like?"

"It's gonna be like AWESOME!" Avel promises. "Don't worry if this is your first time. Just go with the flow, yeah?" You make your way down a few alleyways and into a seedy... A seedy bar? What kind of...
A bouncer outside takes one look at you and Avel. "'Sup, Avel. New friend?" He turns to you and slaps a black-ink stamp onto your forehead. "No booze. No fighting. Enjoy the band," he says.
"Yeah, bruh," Avel says. He makes some hand sign and drags you inside. You aren't sure what you expected, but this looks almost like some kind of nice coffee shop if they had a small stage (covered in a trashy-looking band and a few groupies), dim lights with a few strobes, and too many fog machines.
The crowd seems mostly like Avel, personality-wise, just aged up 6-12 years. They're milling about, waiting for the music to start and sipping various drinks. Mostly booze.

"Wow, that's a lot of fog machines. And...wait, isn't this a bar...? Isn't being here illegal?"
Maybe it's less illegal if you distract yourself from how illegal it is. Wait, that doesn't make any sense. Levi decides to just have a conversation and try to forget where he is.
"So um...Do you go to bars a lot...?" Stupid question.

Avel shrugs off the question. He doesn't seem offended. "Eh, nah. I've had a beer or two, but it's not really my style."
The band seems to have finished setting up. Avel gives you a playful shoulder punch and drags you to join the small crowd gathering in front of the stage. The band gives some barely-intelligible introductions and launches into a cacophonous maelstrom that you'd hesitate to call music. Avel seems to be having a blast, pumping his fist in the air and cheering. He gives you an occasional glance to see if you're having fun.

Levi does his best to play along. Although it's not really his style, he doesn't want to disappoint Avel.
In reality, he's actually pretty uncomfortable. This is like...super out of his comfort zone. He's never been to a concert. He's never been to a club. He's not even used to being around this many people.
But...nobody likes a whiner. He keeps quiet about it.

Avel disappears for a few minutes, then comes back with some snacks. He tosses you a big pretzel and a soda, then starts chugging one of his own. "Pretty cool, yeah?"
After the band finishes their set, most of the crowd starts to leave. A few stick around to drink and chat. "Not the best band, but... you can't get this sort of atmosphere from listening to a CD, yeah? How was it?"

Levi looks off to the side. Why is it that in situations like this, he just...can't look the other person in the eye?
"I...I spend a lot of time alone. Um..." He chokes. It looks like this won't proceed much further without a response from Avel.

Avel isn't phased at all. Actually, he doesn't seem the least bit surprised. "Oh, OK. Nothin' wrong with that. Just gimme a call if you ever decide you wanna hit up another party, though."
