You head to the warehouse and find Buttons at the gate. He rummages through his keys for a bit before finding the right one, then the two of you head inside. He wanders around checking some of the carboard cutout monsters you've rigged up while he talks.
"OK, so... uh... that angelic bi- Mercia? Yeah. She saw - well, she says she foresaw some end-of-the-world type sh- stuff about to happen, and she said that gathering all the Otherworld souls is, uh, y'know. The best way to stop it or something? So she's been working on doing that. But, uh... I mean? None of us really seem to have a plan. Or at least we don't all agree on what we should be doing, y'know? Nat and I have been going around trying to at least find all the guardians and get them talking to each other. But it seems like there's some other dumbasses working with the shit-angel. But they're also dealing with those, y'know, crab-bastards... So I dunno. But looking at that place we found with all the color - the aether, I guess - drained out of it, like the rest of the big wasteland? I guess maybe there's something to the angel's big warning. But like... I don't wanna just start handing all the souls over to her or whatever."

Leia seems surprised to finally getting the information without initiating the questions herself, but definitely relieved.
"Oh... Ye... Yes, you are right... Gathering souls shouldn't imply death... We have souls even when we're alive... So we should just gather all of these guardians instead of "collecting their souls".
We're just kids, if we become judge, jury and executioner at our age just because we have powers, we're not on the right track...
Natsumi and I are going to talk to the giant tree again today, but I'm thinking maybe if we are to find other Guardians, we should maybe keep it low...
Cause Mercia and her robot people always seem to be walking the same path as us, so they obviously always know our plans...
If the giant tree face cannot move, maybe we can go back to Death and convince her to go hang out with him?"

"What? Man, you and Natsumi were going to visit Fionn without me?" Buttons blurts out. He quickly gets a hold of himself. "Anyway, you're probably not going tonight. Kiran said Nat's way out of it, whatever she's sick with. And me? I think we should start just by making contact with all the Guardians and figuring out where they all before worrying about getting them to work together. Heck, we might end up with more doing like Tia and Grant. And Laura." Buttons shrugs. "Already told Death about stuff and she seems willing enough to help. So we got, what... thinking about the elements we've figured out... Dark, Earth, Soul, Fire, and Plant working with us. Then the angel is probably Light or Celestial... Oh, and that big bird in the school. Then that train. So, uh... yeah. We have leads on the Machine. That still leaves a lot of Guardians totally unaccounted for. Oh, and I guess the Wind one is probably dead so someone else has its soul. The angel, right? So... uh... that's, what, 5 guardians we haven't located yet? I think some people were gonna go check the ocean for the Water."
Buttons pauses. "And, yeah, it's kinda weird how much they know about what we're doing. I kinda wonder if they're, I dunno, spying on us somehow."

You arrive at the steakhouse. Even on this weeknight, there's a few dozen people here for dinner, though not so many you have to wait. The waiter escorts you to a table and Alice orders a small steak and vegetable soup. She seems very excited. "Hm, you have excellent taste to have chosen this place from nowhere..."
