Arcadia giggles, playfully snatching the beach ball from Kiran and idly bouncing it to herself. "Good call, lackey. Today's a great day for just about anythin'! Want me to kick your ass in somethin' like volleyball? Or you just wanna chill out 'n soak up some sun? Ooh, we could even bug some people here! I'll let you call it, Kiran."

"On it!" Kiran joins in the hunt, along with Arcadia.
"What!?" Lisa squeaks. It's almost too easy, really. She runs right into Kiran before she even realizes what's going on.
"Up we go!" He scoops her up without difficulty, then twirls her around. "Surprise hug!" He squeezes her, and she grabs back as she desperately holds on.
He finishes with a tight snuggle.
"Good job, Kiran!" Somnis says.
Lisa is blushing. "Please put me down."
"Yeah! Hand over my cutie!" Somnis says.
"...I changed my mind. Please don't put me down."
"...What if I don't wanna hand her over?" Kiran asks.
"Then I'll just take your cutie!" Somnis says. She points at you. You doubt she could pick you up even if you let her...

"Eek!" You catch Somnis by surprise and easily grab her up. She's heavier than she looks. "Hey!"
Kiran's dog starts growling at you.
"No, no. Easy, boy. She's just playing," Somnis says.
He stops and wags his tail.
"OK, now you can let me down," Lisa says.
Somnis wraps an arm around your shoulder to help support herself. "Alright, you got us. What's the next step of your master plan?"

"...I didn't agree to this..." Lisa complains. "This doesn't work out well for me no matter how it goes..."
"Fi-i-i-ine. If we win, I'll settle for dunking 'Cadia. Oh, but since Lisa's short and you're so much bigger and taller, you have to let Dogachu play on our team. And he's really good. Deal?"

Arcadia bursts out laughing. "You want the dog on your team? I'm pretty sure dogs ain't that good at volleyball, but alright! Me 'n Kiran'll just win this 2v3 like it's no problem! Oh, and your dog joins my crew too! Otherwise, it's a done deal!" Arcadia sets Somnis down, eagerly grabbing the beach ball instead.

Somnis smirks.
You soon realize that you have made a terrible mistake. Kiran is having a blast playing beach volleyball, and an even bigger blast playing with you. But he's so awful. He trips over his own feet. Multiple times. And, if you're being honest with yourself, you're not too much better. You and Kiran don't really click right off the bat, either. You have some trouble making passes and setting each other up. More than once you both stand there, expecting the other to get the ball, or slam into each other both going for it.
Somnis is competent enough, but Lisa is surprisingly good, especially considering her height. And Dogachu really surprises you. He can't spike it, but he makes a few saves and passes, jumping up and bopping the ball with his nose. Every time he does, Somnis is right there to capitalize on it. They're in perfect sync.
You're able to make a bit of a comeback towards the end. You start to get into Kiran's rhythm and Lisa starts to get tired out, but Somnis and Dogachu pick up the slack. In the end it's not the bloodbath you expected at the halfway point, but the little ones still win by a solid margin.
"Sorry... Boss..." Kiran pants after the match. "But it was fun, though! Right?"
"...It was... fine..." Lisa gasps.
"I had fun!" Somnis agrees. She looks over at you. She grins, puts her hands on her hips, and leans forward. "You can meet me at the mall tonight for our dunk-date! You should probably wear your swimsuit."

Arcadia falls to her knees, absently gazing at nothing. "How'd that happen?! We couldn't have lost to a team with a DOG! UGGGGGHHHHHH!" Arcadia lets herself plop on her back against the sand, defeated. "...See ya at the mall, Somnis... Uggggghhhhhhh..."

Dogachu looks at you and Kiran, then starts walking after Somnis.
"Hey! C'mon, Dogachu."
The dog stops, seems to sigh, then comes back. He leans over your face and perks his ears up. "Bark." If a bark could sound sarcastic...

Arcadia gives Dogachu an annoyed glance. "Wh- this mutt's really got a mind of his own, eh?! Hey, if you join my crew, I'll get ya all the dog treats you 'n the whole pound could eat!" Arcadia reaches out to give Dogachu a rough scratching behind the ears.
